Room spacious but without any charme. Bathroom had a very bad smell, lousy towels but lots of cheap sanitary products. No pictures in the room, just a badly mounted TV. The beds were more or less camp beds. The surrounding environment is more than ugly, the beach not worth mentioning. Far off from any restaurants or even nice places to see. We left the hotel after one night even though we payed for two.

The address is described as Agrigento, but if you don't have a car, forget it! It's just too far from the city.

Third visit to this ancient city and this site was a wonderful break from negotiating crowded narrow streets. With the beach for a dip in the Mediterranean, or collecting shells, a sparkling clean and modern hotel with great expansive views, a large pool in a walled in area in front, we had an ample array of fruit, breads and cold cuts for breakfast and excellent dining reservations made for us within 2-3 miles, also near the sea. Antica Park had easy access to the Valley of the Temples, and the added delights of a first class museum and iconic bronze statues imported into the paths along the Greek monuments. It was pleasing to see the integration of newer but relevant items to enhance the experience since my last visit years ago. But here is the best part for me: There are lots of kind hosts throughout Sicily, and my Italian is reasonably well understood, so Sicilians do respond; but none so motivated to be of extraordinary service as the manager, Antonio, our man-of-the-hour who also pressed into service his nephew to get us back into town to an office of the (US) rental car company with his complete command of the situation. Our car, the day before, having been hit by a rock off a big truck traveling in the opposite direction, the windshield was badly smashed and it was through Antonio taking charge that we got a new rental fast and without undue lost time. He got a truck to take away our damaged car. Sort of like family, where we expect such help when most needed, I had no expectation this manager would be so gracious. So, we especially enjoyed the accommodating Antonio. He came through, above and beyond—like family. I am pleased to offer my comments here for others to consider in choosing from the many places available in Agrigento. Say hello to Antonio from Giorgio when you get there.

This was the first time we had visited Agrigento. The Antica Perla is very good value for money, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast provides an extensive choice of cold fare. It is situated next to the seafront in a very quiet neighbourhood but the approach by road to it is very scruffy. There are some good local restaurants within 10 minutes drive, and the cooking facilities in the rooms at Antica Perla are adequate for cooking your own pasta dishes.

This is an outstanding hotel with the owners always available to attend to guests' needs. It could not be better and is worth much more than the price being charged!

For one night the hotel is ok. But the quality of the services received is more like a 3 stars than a 4 stars hotel. The room was very spacious, but not with the bathroom. The shower was tiny. And is had a plastic curtain, so it sticked to the body while showering. The quality of the toiletries was too low. Wireless internet access costs 5 euros. You have an internet point in reception. The pool area was very sloppy and messy. There were plenty of dirty and messy sunbeds.

Walls are thin. Location indicated on the map is good, 12 minutes from agrigente and only 8 from Temple valley. Beach just in front is not clean but is nice if you walk 500m along the coast. staff friendly and good breakfast.

We had a family suite - two bedrooms on the first floor. For value, this residence hotel was definitely by far the best value of all the places we stayed in our two week trip to Sicily. The staff were fantastic - really kind and helpful, going way above what was necessary to make our stay lovely. The hotel was very new and clean, spacious rooms with wonderful views of the Mediterranean. Very good location right on the beach - with the Temple Valley of Agrigento only 10 mins by car.
