Hostel Old Town Lodge - Stockholm

I was travelling with my daughter & our stay at Old Town Lodge has been very nice. The hotel is located in a wonderful & quiet area of Stockholm (Gamla Stan). The hotel is quite small so you have to share the common area with the other guests but it has been interesting & amusing having breakfast with unknown people... :-)

We stayed in a 2p dormitory downstairs

Great location. Friendly staff.

Dormitory room - openspace for 3 families, with glass partitions and white curtains. (It was a big surprise) It's terrible! Entrance door in this openspace is very clapping. Neighbors disturb each other strongly. Some problems may be solved, if owners adjust the door and build the walls up to the ceiling. Staff if very friendly.

This is the best hostel ever!! So nice, clean, friendly ans the staff was very helpful!!

The perfect place for discovering Stockholm! We felt truly blessed for being able to stay in an old city house which provided us with everything we needed. Everything was spotless clean and very well organized. Thank you for having us!

I was in December in Old Town Lodge with my 2 teeenagers from 18. All was perfect and we wish to congratulate and thank the staff for the those 3 delicious days we had in this outh hostel.

My friends and I stayed 3 Nights at Old Town Lodge and were very impressed, it was definately the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in, the staff were friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming, the room was small for four people, and there was nowhere to put our clothes, however for a short break it was excellent, and we all agreed we would return there.

Everything was very good except for the fact that supposedly there were 3 bathrooms in the basement but actually 2 of them were closed the whole time so it was a little unconfortable.

Really nice hotel. Extremely clean. White and wood everywhere. I love the windows!

I have to say that we are not hostel-stayers, and aren't about to change our minds. I much prefer a hotel with (at least) a private bath and 24 hour staffing. That said, these guys made the fact that those factors were missing almost overlook-able. And wow was it clean! With very good mattresses. In a great location. In sum: If you are on a budget, a real find.

Rooms were small but adequate (for the price) and the location was perfect! Affordable and comfortable option in the heart of Old Town, truly a score. Lovely staff, clean and well maintained common areas and kitchen, beds comfortable. Our room did not have a window, which would have made a huge difference, I recommend requesting one with a window if available. Visited the "dorms" downstairs and they looked very unique and tidy! Stayed in Stockholm 5 days and traveled with a girlfriend.

We realy like the hotel. It wass a nice small room. Bud for a shorts stay it's perfect. The showers and toilets where verry clean. If we visit Stockholm again we wil take this hotel. JG & CS

It's a lovely new small hostel The location is excellent All the spaces are very clean We were three in a 4bed room so we had enough space. There is a kitchen you can use with free tea coffee and cereals. The staff are very nice and helpful.We were allowed to leave our luggage till evening Nearby there good restaurants and coffee bars For a short stay it is perfect I highly recommand it

bit tricky to find with just a printed map, but strongly recommend this accommodation otherwise

The hotel is very well situated and convenient. The staff is excellent. The facilities were suitable for the price. We were stroken by the dormitory. We didn't know that it means a cellar without windows and fresh air - bad for customers with lungs and heart troubles. There was no isolation between the separate compartments (pretty narrow), so we have been waken-up all night long by new comers. Everybody has to listen coughing, snoaring, laughing, etc. However, the last night was in a normal room, it was modest but nice and appropriate for the price.

Staff is very nice. We stayed in dormitorio; for one night or two nights its ok. There is a kitchen available, where you can leave your food; tea and coffee you can make yourself anytime. After you check out you can leave your bags there free of charge, which is great! And location is perfect - old town.

I stayed in this hotel with my friend for 2 nights. I travelled to Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid, Athens, Rome, Ibiza... But I have Never seen such a nice hotel in any of those cities. Above all, the owners are a very cute family and they are well-educated people. I would suggest this hotel to whoever goes to Stockholm. Yet, the location of the hotel is flawless !!!!
