Sir Toby's Hostel - Prague

Nice atmosphere. Room not big in comparison to what was shown on the website. Missing hangers in the room. Door of the bathroom not easy to lock. Breakfast very good. Staff very nice and helpful. Area quite but without much interest in terms of visit or restaurant. Convenient in term of access to airport or city center. Thanks to the excellent tram/metro connections in Praha

Definitely a great place if you like to meet people from all over the world. Sometimes not as quiet as it is supposed to be depending on people around. 10 minutes from city center with the tram. Great welcome and service.

Sir Toby´s is one of the best hostels I ever stayed in. The staff is very kind and I felt very welcome. I especially liked the quiet and stylish rooms and the private atmosphere. All in all a very good choice for a lovely stay in Prague.

Staying at Sir Toby's ensured a great time by our group during our visit to Prague. The reception staff were always helpful and full of character, and gave good recommendations on things we should do as visitors. The hostel itself was very clean, and had a lot of great facilities if you felt like staying in for a change. Awesome breakfast. I'll definitely be going back on my next trip!

This was my 4th trip to Praha and I thought I’d stay out of the usual touristy areas this time and booked into Sir Toby’s. I normally stay at hotel type places, so wasn’t sure what to expect or the level of service from a hostel. Arrived at the hostel mid-afternoon and was signed in by Petra – she was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (as were pretty much all the staff I encountered during my 4 day stay). I found my private room quite spacious and sunny, and it even had coffee/tea making facilities and a sink. The private bathroom was very clean and was more than adequate. One thing that was lacking though was a wardrobe to hang my clothes… but I easily got some when I asked at the front desk. The breakfast (100kc) was great value (the home-made cranola was VERY tasty!) and was a great start to the morning. They have a bar on the premises but I didn’t get a chance to try it out, so can’t comment on it. The other guests were a mix of ages/gender/ethnicities, and gave the place a nice laid-back international feel. The location of the hostel is a bit out of the central city, but it wasn’t as much of a problem as I thought it would be as there are a number of trams available nearby (less than a 4 minute walk away) that will take you to the Castle, Old Town, New Town etc. Also, the hostel offers a discounted tram/metro travel card … saved me so much hassle with individual tickets and was an excellent idea! Overall, I was extremely impressed with this place and in fact I found it much better value-for-money than some hotels I’ve stayed at in recent years, as well as the excellent service that I encountered. I would not hesitate to recommend Sir Toby’s to anyone looking for a great, friendly, comfortable and clean place to stay in this brilliant city.
