Pension Tara - Prague

Stayed for 5 nights in September. Location is excellent !! No need for taxi or bus !! Had a big room all to myself - on the 5th floor.. Nice room, big bathroom, a frigde and some cups and plates. I would like to go back to this Pension. Missed very much an elevator --heavy stairs to walk. Can have breakfast and whatever you like at the restaurant at the groundfloor..with 20% off on the price. Prices for food in that place are a bit high place. But I liked to have my breakfast there because then I sit very close to the market in the street, and I enjoyed that. A bit noisy in the morning when they set up the quite big market around 6 in the morning. Pension Tara : I WILL be back - and I want My room once again!!

No problems except that I wanted to return some days later and was told that there were vacancies all the month but on returning was told they were full. No-ones fault - just a change to arrivals in the city. The staff were very helpful in 'phoning several other pensions checking for availability so got a bed for the night anyway. A cautionary tale - if you wish to return to somewhere some days later, best to reserve to be on the safe side.

This was my first stay in Prague. I was simply amazed by pension Tara! Great location in the heart of Prague! Very good price! Very helpful and friendly staff! Wonderful magic place with the spirit of history. I would definitely recommend it!

On the map it seems, that the pension is in a quite little street in the historic city center. But unfortunately this is the street many drunken and singing people walk along during the night. So it war very very loud in the night! The rooms are clean and ok, but without any athmospehre. And there are not any public rooms to stay at.

The apartments were big, clean, the location was excellent. I really recomend them.

This is a cheap pension with average facilities but secure and in an excellent location. Good value for money.
