Hostel Miss Sophie's - Prague

Sleekness over convenience: the room looks cool... without an inhabitant. Once your are in and settled, and you might be for longer than a couple of days, your stuff is inevitably all over, on every scarse surface, as there is no wardrobe or drawers to put things away.

Miss Sophie's Apartment: Perfect for travelling in a group and staying in Prague for leisure and at least a few days. Metro very close by and is efficient. Or a nice 20 minute walk (if not raining) to get to the centre..(old town square). Clean, spacious, modern interior apartment. Staff are friendly. Apartments are in building across the road from main hostel/hotel. Single travellers, couples, professionals, students..all would find their stay great and safe. Excellent rates! Given what has just been said..I would highly highly recommend the apartment. If the dorms are anything like the apartments..then would recommend the dorms too for those travelling alone, groups, on a budget.

Great boutique style small hotel, very big rooms, beautiful decor, loved the bathroom, good kitchenette, well equipped, all in all Miss Sophie's was very good value for money. Staff spoke good English and were helpful. The only downside was the slightly shady big street that ran around the corner, but we had no problems. Good small grocery shops around.

Room is spacious and clean. Location is ok, just 10 mins from metro. The only comment is the elevator is too small and not function well.

We stayed in one of the apartments right across the street from the hostel on a 3-week tour beginning in Istanbul. It was spacious and clean , decorated in a modern, minimalist style. The double apartment had a fully functional kitchen where we made coffee (provided by Miss Sophie's or left by a previous tenant) each morning. We found a great deal on Venere; out of the 7 hotels we stayed in during our 3-week trip this one offered the best value for the money hands down! The only thing we wished the room had was blinds or shades on the windows, in addition to the sheer curtains, for privacy and to block out the light in the morning. We visited in August and although there was no air-conditioning, there was a fan and we were comfortable. Regarding the location, we ended up doing a lot of walking as the hostel is about 20 minutes walking distance to Stare Mesto. This was also fine with us and for those who would rather ride, it is possible to buy tram tickets at the front desk of the hostel. Overall a great experience at Miss Sophie's!

This is the best hostel I have ever visited. We had an apartment in the building over the street and it was fantastic, really modern, very cool and spacious – honestly couldn’t have asked for anything else. To put it into context my boyfriend had been planning to propose whilst we were in Prague on the bridge, however due to the scaffolding and crowds he instead decided to do it over breakfast at our lovely apartment so Miss Sophie’s is always going to have a special place in my heart.

I stayed at the apartments so I cannot comment on the other types of rooms but the apartments is to die for. It is well designed and simply beautiful. The bedroom is spacious and romantic. The kitchen is simple yet chic and got all the things you would need. The bathroom is clean and the rain shower is a pleasure. Because of its design and romantic ambiance this would be excellent for couples although a small family can also be comfortable here. Because of its price, single travelers can also enjoy it. If I had more days to stay and if I could live in Prague, i'd stay here.

The best place for quality and price that you may ever be in Prague. 10 minutes walking to the down town, 2 minutes to the subway, in 40 minutes you can reach the airport(via subway and a bus). the appartment is worth the money, very modern, very clean, excellent furniture.
