Euro Hostel Glasgow - Glasgow

When you come in this hotel for 2 rooms for 4 persons, there is just one for you!!!!! so, 2 persons sleep on the floor!!! incroyable and never seen before! please don't go to this hotel.( reservation made 3 months before)

For a hostel this place is quite a surprise. it was surprisingly near shops, train station, etc., there is a mc donalds, pizza hut, one block away, a mini mart next door to it, and the major shopping street is about 2 short blocks away. the room ( i stayed in a twin bedded room, bunk beds) was quite tiny, but it has everything you need, plus its extremely clean. not dodgy at all. each person is provided with a clean (very white) towel, small hotel-kind bar of soap, plastic cup, clean pillow and case, sheets, and a duvet. all clean :) there was adequate place to hang stuff, and hangers too. lights are a bit dim but okay enough. the toilet has a good shower, good water pressure. wc normal. still extremel;y clean. the bathroom is small like the room, but functional. unfortunately no place to put/hang toiletries. maybe guests could bring a suction hook to stick onto the tile in the shower stall. and a shower cap as the shower head cant be moved. i went in summer, the room was quite hot. windows didn't open too well, or didn't stay open long enough for the wind to circulate. no fan or anything, it is a hostel after all. there is a tv, but you actually have to pay to use it. its connected to a little machine, 1 pound to activate it, another pound to keep it on for 4 hours. security is quite good i guess, everyone gets a key card that can open lifts and the staircase entrance. also cctv cameras are supposedly used i didn't see any on my floor (9th floor). there is a baggage storage place, though there wasn't much security there. everyone seems to put their baggage there without any system. they have vending machines for drinks, snacks. pay phones too. i didn't get to see the tv room/lounge, or the laundry room, but to have these ammenities is almost too good to be true. overall feeling: good clean functional hostel, with a young vibe, but friendly enough for any age.
