The hotel surroundings is very weedy, like all of Berlin. The hotel was very excellent for me, I,ve read in review that the young adults are so noisy, but it isn't true.

Everything was perfect except for the big groups of young students, very noisy and ignorant: not the hotel falt!

I stayed 2 nights at the Generator, and found it to be an excellent value. While initially concerned about its distance from the center of Berlin, the location was conveniently located mere paces from both local tram stops and an S-Bahn station. I appreciated the variety of people staying at this hostel, and would delight in returning the next time I'm in town!

Overall it was what i expected. I was really surprised to see that the room was the smallest i had ever seen. We bumped into each other all the time.Too bad for that! Nice atmosphere though and the price wasn't so bad. Thanx for everything, cu again!

Everything was fine. Only the breakfast was very minimal and the room was very small.

We only stayed 1 night at the generator and that was enough. the hostel is fine if your 18yrs,it was full of young people who couldn't handle their drink. It felt a little out of control as there was not enough staff on duty. The hostel is clean but we stayed in a private room and for £40 it was a rip off.

Stayed here a few nights. Was very clean. The use of the inaternet was a bit high-1 euro for every 15 minutes! The food was great, plentiful breakfast. The male bartender was quite rude however. Overall a great place for backpackers alike. I would stay here again. I recommend them

Hostel is large, clean with good group areas. However avoid at all costs if you have an aversion to blue lighting. Perhaps tries a little too hard to be trendy and youthful.

The Generator Berlin is a excellent hotel for the price and I would strongly recommend this hotel. I also got a huge discount by booking from Venere.com...the actual rates displayed were much higher that the web rates.

I would recommend The Generator Berlin to any budget traveller wanting to stay in Berlin. Although it is a few miles out of the city centre, the public transport system is easy to navigate and the S-Bahn stop is right next to the hotel. The hostel itself is brand new, and is very clean. It's very modern in style, with lots of blue neon lights and beaded plating everywhere, a style of decor that I liked immensely. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. The food is OK; breakfasts are basic (cereal, bread rolls, toast, tea, coffee) but additional items such as sausage, bacon, eggs, fruit juice, cheese can be purchased at a very reasonable price. The Generator Berlin has one major advantage over its sister hostel in London as far as I am concerned - the availability of en suite rooms for very little extra. Personally, I would definitely stay at The Generator Berlin again.

Very good place to stay for little money - but quite a poor location, and not particularly attractive.
