For this price the location is top. For a so called 2* hotel (actually it is just a one star hostal but another more expensive so called 2* hotel was verry bad while van Goch is Excellent) it is a verry good one. However the checking in was delaiyed two times (backpacks couldstay behind the desk) and there is no breakfast possible while many hotels serve free breakfast. Most rooms have windows indeed but like other hotels in big spanish cities just fiew with a view. But better location and better sleep than in this hostal you will not get.

The position is fabolous, just behind the cathedral; when outside the hotel, if you turn your head left, you can see the Real Alcazares wall! From there is very easy to reach walking every cultural place, tapas bar or public transports you would desire. The employees were quite helpful and pleasant and the room were more or less as expected (see the photos). The bad sides were: our room had a very good sight on the hotel's laundry (I think there are only 4 rooms with a real window); I had to think on it before touching anything in the room (which was not so clean, but this is common for hostals in Seville, atleast at this price level); the wheather was not so good in Seville, but the room's air was far too wet (we both got a sore throat!). This was our first time in Seville, the next time we will look for somewhere else, but this hostal was not a bad place to stay.

I stayed here with a friend (both of us in our late 20's) on a 2-day trip to Sevilla in September. The location couldn't be better: on a quiet side street but mere seconds from the Cathedral and the beautiful Av. de la Constitución. Our room was tiny but very clean and well-ventilated and hooks on the wall made it easy to hang some of our clothes. No elevator to help us get our bags to the top floor, but being in a room off the rooftop terrace was worth the climb. This place doesn't have a backpacker vibe and was a quiet place to rest after long days exploring the city. If you're looking for an economical no-frills option for a short stay in Sevilla, this is a great place.

The hostal van Gogh didn't really meet my expectations. I do nogt have anything to say regarding the room or the location that is very good , and could hardly be better. In fact it is more about the night receptionist who is awful. We arrived around 11PM and found a real unfriendly night receptionist that didn't even take gthe precaugtion gto explain us how gto use gthe heagting. he diden'gt give us gthe remogte from gthe heagting and we had gto freezing nighgt. the second day we asked for the remote and the heating was jusgt blowing fresh air, so far that on the last night we asked for an electric heating to plug to try to sleep this time!! the night receptionist told us that he will put this additional electric in our room. And when we cam back from eating, had'nt done anything so far i had to do it on my own, six floors high, and it was really heavy !!! please avoid gthe room on the top floor at least during the winter, it is not in the main building but in a area on the top of the roof and it is freezing !! ON WINTER.

The location is perfect. Right in the middle of everything. The rooms are quite small, but they are good if you plan to spend your time out in the city. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful. For the price this hostal was great.

We stayed twice in this hostel. The first time the room and the bathroom were really tiny. During the second time we had another room which was more spacious. The rooms and bathrooms are really nicely decorated as Andalusian houses. Both rooms were very noisy.
