Hostal Abril - Nerja

Hotel very quiet, cosy, modern, sweet rooms. And very well situated, 10 minutes walking to the beach.

This hotel is superb value for money. Very hard to fault it. Spotlessly clean, well run, very central. I have paid a lot more money for lesser hotels in Ireland - i think Irish hoteliers could learn a lot from Hostal Abril. We love coming back to Nerja & we'll definitely stay here again.

Nice Hostal in a good location.The only problem was parking.

We are a retired couple who had asked in advance for a quiet room for 2 nights: this was remembered as soon as we walked in the door and we were offered the choice of 3 rooms. We chose a vast family room at the back looking on to the steps up to the roof garden. The Hostal owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. The weather was wet and cold so a radiator was put on for us. NB. tea/coffee in the room was a kettle, cups and sugar: no problem as we had our own tea bags with us and a breakfast cafe is just across the road. This Hostal is ideal for those like us travelling by public transport as buses stop nearby, including to the (not to be missed) Nerja Caves. We were most fortunate that Sat. 13th was Carnival (40 days befor Easter) and the truly exciting and imaginative procession went down the street right in front of the Hostal.

We orderded a room for 4 persons and got a wonderful great appartment, and that for one night and the same price ! Unbelievable !

The hostal is located at the beginning of the street, so its close once you dropped off from the bus station, and so, more convinence for you to leave as well. However, the room I stay is on the ground floor and window is facing to the public street, its pretty noisy everytime when someone or traffics passed by ( I don't know why motors in Nerja is extremly noisy, like those really old models and you can still hear them from miles away). For a hostal, this one is very clean and tidy, but the linen are full of washing powder smell may be somehow they put too much when washing cloths. Anyway, resturant are about 5-15 mins walk depends you want to have it in the middle of the town or near the beachside. Overall, I am happy to stay there but if I come again, I will try the hotel next to the beach because of the seaview and the easyaccess beach area :P

Very nice family hostal, we paid 36EUUR in April, located right by the corner of the bus stop (for late arrivals for example). Internet downstairs and even maybe wifi in rooms - to investigate:)

This hotel is very good value for money, it is very central in the old town, a few minutes walk to the "balcon of Europa" where alfresco breakfast can be enjoyed. We were staying on the 1st floor on the street side, it can be quite noisy at times because of scooters but more because of british tourists who had quite a few, but we found that if we closed the window and put on the air condionning we were able to get a restful night. There is a free large car park (northwest edge of the town, where the tour coaches park, in "Parque Verano Azul"). Nerja has a lot of charm that a lot of the other towns lack. A 15mns walks lead us to Burriana beach. We went to Nerja at the end of September just before the feria. I would recommend this time of year, as the weather is still very good without the crowd. Thorougly enjoyed our time there. Would definitely go there again. Nerja is a very good location to get to for instance Granada. Nerja's caves are worth a visit. We also had a day trip to Gibraltar. A very good holiday. To recommend to people wanting to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

The hotel was priced very resonable and would stay again, access difficult if you have a car, but free parking about 5 min walk away. I would be happy to stay a week although only had 1 day.
