Hostal Gallardo - Madrid

For me it was a temporary accommodation. I have rent an apartment for one year in Madrid.

They open my suite case and broke the zippers!!!!

We stayed 4 nights. The couple who runs the hotel was not very talkative but nice (we speak Spanish which makes everything easier). The room was very old fashioned but clean and rather quiet (apart from the lift that we could hear). There are no breakfast but in the same building there is a lovely bakery that serves organic food at all times (Le Pain Quotidien). There are also plenty of nice restaurants in the street. The metro station "Tribunal" is only 2 minutes away and if you are a good walker all interesting parts of the city can be reached on foot.

Very small rooms but clean, enough just for a good night rest after long walks in Madrid. Good location - metro station, shops, restaurants, cafeteria nearby. A budget hotel perfect for single travellers or young couples.

Just great! I actually booked more nights and I am still in. Fast Internet 24h, clean and nice rooms and an excellent staff. In the middle of everything! Thank you very much to the Hostal Gallardo!

Fuencarral was recently pedestrianized. The hotel is just above the no-car area, a few steps from Tribunal metro stop. Shopping, restaurants, bars, and major sites are all an easy walk away. The hotel itself is in a decent building (on the 4th floor). I didn't have any problems, but some people might be uncomfortable with the fact that the door to the street is left open all night. There is a 24-hour reception (and though the night watchman spoke only Spanish, we communicated just fine). Rooms are very plain, but wifi, TV and AC are included. (So is music, piped in through speakers in the ceiling. It is turned off by a knob at the head of the bed.) Walls are thin, rooms are clean. It's not a place that encourages lingering, but if you're in Madrid, you want to be out and about anyway. Also the price was among the lowest of anything on offer in this part of town. So if you're just looking for a place to lay your head without breaking the bank, Gallardo works.

Well situated in the city center. Within walking distance from the main points of interest. Easy to access by the metro, only a few steps from the next metrostation. It's not exactly quite, but ok. Good breakfast location just around the corner.

Hostel Gallardo is perfect for a trip in Madrid, infact is situated near the centre (Gran Via) but in a particulary street: Fuencarall with many many many strange and beautiful shops, pub....
