Hostal Castilla I - Madrid

Basically no lobby, and the rest is perfect

Excellent location close to the main points of interest. Our room was REALLY SMALL and the bathroom is about 1.2 square meters (excluding the small bath). The room facilities include flat TV and air conditioning. In conclusion I think that the castilla I is a good solution for his good quality/price ratio and his perfect location.

Night life very close but not so much that you can't sleep! Cheap, clean enough and confortable!

The staff (Merlin and Hinchon ) were incredibly helpful. The place is perfectly located. Than ks.

Nice clean room with shower and toilet.(i would not recomend the rooms without badroom/toilet) No posibility for breakfast but nearby the hotel a lot of bakery's. Close to public area's also close to the metro.

Despite of the excellent location, there was too much noise in the hotel. Also only one towel per guest...

Hemos estado muy bien en el Hostal, está muy bien ubicado y además el personal es muy amable. La habitación, bien.

Très bon hostal bien situé à quelques mètres du métro juste dans le Barrio de la Letras. Ma chambre était petite mais confortable avec clim donnant sur la cour, sans bruit. Accueil sympathique. Facilité de prendre son petit déjeuner et ses repas dans le quartier. Très bien situé sur la ligne 1 du Métro.

La atencion es muy grata, de mucho apoyo, el hotel es muy limpio. Solo que hay mucho ruido del exterior. Buen precio.

You are right in the middle of everything. Can you cope with the noise from the street, this is a perfect place to stay. Nice breakfast almost next to.

Near the Hostal many restaurants, super-mercado Vecino (Plaza Matute) and Metro-station (Linea 1, salida Plaza Antón Martín). Many sightseeing places (eg. Palacio Real, Museo del Prado, Museo Thyssen - Bornemisza, Museo Reina Sofia) within walking distance.

I have stay`d inn this hostel 2 times - very plesent every times.

Very good location in the centre. Close to museums, restaurants and other attractions. There is no breakfast, but close to the hostal on the same side of Calle de Atocha, there was a very good café (Peter Pan) with good prices on excellent cappuccinos, sandwiches, pastry etc. At night we heard no noice from the street, just snoring from the nieghbouring guest. Only negative was, just cold water in the shower in the evening and we had to ask for toilet paper. There was wireless internet, but as we were on a leisure trip we did not bring a computer. Overall, we liked it. There was a friendly atmosphere, a small but nice and clean room.
