The hostel Posada Bocanegra is a cosy property, recently refurbished, located in the North of Granada, easily reachable from any part of the city thanks to the different bus lines that stop nearby.
The property is located right beside Plaza Isabel la Católica with the monument to Isabel la Católica y Colón. Among the numerous attractions offered by the city, you will find the Chancillería, a building dating back to the 16th century and the current High Court of Andalucía, Santa Ana square with the Pilar del Toro and the majestic Alhambra. Other interesting sights are the Carrera del Darro, a stone garden beside of the Darro river and the Cadí bridge, which used to connect the Alhambra with the Albaycín.
Right opposide the bridge, you can find the 11th century Arabic baths, known as El Bañuelo, the oldest and most important Arabic baths conserved in Spain.

We found the stay in the hostel to be quite an experience - in the negative way unfortunately. First of all, when we arrived there was nobody at the reception to let us in and nobody was answering the phones either. If it wasn't for the loss of the deposit we would have gone after 10 minutes waiting, but finally a staff member arrived and showed us to the room. The room was based in a basement and completely dark as the only window looks onto the wall and has bars that give the room an impression of a prison cell. The room was tiny, but clean, however apart from the bed and a small desk, it contained no other furniture, i.e. bedside table or lamp, which would have made it a more tolerable experience. (Pictures on the web show lamps and bedside tables but do not give an idea of how small the rooms are). The bathroom was so small that when you have a shower, the water is everywhere including the toilet seat. That is of course if you can have a shower in the first place: the water is cold and comes in dribbles. Unfortunately, it continues to dribble even after you decided against the shower and does so for the entire night keeping you efectively awake. Not recommended.

From Granada railway station, take either bus number 21, 9 or 23 which stop near the hostel.
By airplane
There is a bus service connecting Granada airport to the city centre. From there, take either the bus number 21, 9 or 23 which stop close to the hostel.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
