This hotel was nice for the money. It was one of the only we stayed in that had a heater, which was nice in January. The room was clean. There was always someone at the front desk if we needed anything. It was very close to the Mezquita and restaurants.

We stayed at La Fuente in early December. Overall, the location and ambient is fairly good. However, the first room they gave us smelled like cigarette smoke. This is not the fault of the hotel, since there are signs that say not to smoke in the room – however, the reality is that evidently there are some rooms that are that way. When we asked for a different room, the staff gave us another one with no problem. The room was a bit cold and the remote control that operated the conditioner unit was low on battery power, so we were not able to get it to operate. Since we were out most of the day, we didn't even bother to ask for a replacement. The room was also quite small, but that was ok with us since we were not there much. Location was quite good. They have some parking spots in a nearby garage at 10 Euros a day (not bad) and they allowed us to keep our car there as long as we wanted even after checking out of the hotel – which was greatly appreciated.

Direct bus access from train and bus station. 5 minutes walk from cordoba mezquita. But u can hear noise from other rooms very clearly. Cafeteria starts after 8:30 am which is not very good for turists whp have to start their day early. Rooms and washrooms are very clean with ample quantity of towels which are changed daily. Staff is not conversant with english and only knows spanish. But its ideal location pays value for money.

The hotel is located in restricted area and driving in could come a nightmare as the GPS bring you in very narrow streets. When the out side temp. reach 38°c the air conditioned stop working at night!! Otherwise the hotel is very well located for discovering the city by foot.

This was the first time that my wife and I have visited this part of Spain and were truely impressed by the quality of La Fuente and the beauty of the old part of the city of Cordoba. We hope that it receives the nomination as the city of culture in 2016. We would certainly recommend La Fuente ad a desirable place to stay.

Charming hotel, very well situated - walking distance to all the major sights and for bus links to the railway station. The central tiled patio area is lovely. Our bedroom was on the 1st floor, quiet and comfortable (a little on the small side) but perfectly adequate for a sightseeing trip to Cordoba. We would cetainly stay again on a return trip to Cordoba.

We stayed one night - 1st October. La Fuente is a lovely building with a typical Cordoba-style patio with antique furniture and blue tiled walls. It is located on a quaint road lined with orange trees in a quiet locality. To get there from the train or bus station take Bus No.3 and get off at San Fernando stop opposite the hostal/pensione. To get the exact location suggest looking up Google map or you may get lost. We had a nice clean but small room. It was very noisy out in the patio past midnight so getting sleep after a tiring day was hard. The fabulous Mezquita-Cathedral, beautiful Alcazar and in fact everything worth seeing in old Cordoba is a short walk through the winding narrow lanes from the hostal. For food/drinks just walk down to the riverside; there are plenty of restaurants serving Spanish fare and tapas.

It is very difficult to reach this hotel by car because of one-way or narrow roads. The staff can hardly speak English.

Had a problem with the small room safe that was actually not attached to anything. We were told they cannot do anything about it because it is a free service. Only when we asked for the complaint form and the staff's name did they respond and decided to fix the safe. Also, the common public area has too many flies.

It was a very nice hostal. There was just one thing we missed: the terrace on the roof. It was on the photographs but the terrace was closed when we stayed at El Fuente. And we missed a few glasses in the bathroom. But we were very happy with all the clean towels every day, and the made up beds after returning from visiting Cordoba. We were also very pleased with the restaurant suggestion from one of the personell.

We found the hotel to be in a great location, very clean, very Andalucian in decor, the staff helpful and the room large. The price was excellent for the star rating. We have stayed in much more expensive places that were not as nice as La Fuente. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is good, nothing about that, but if you come by car, it's very difficult to find the place. The put up signs throughout the city, but these signs always put your mind in a blur because they all appoint you in a different direction. Even a sign within 150 meters is pointing in the wrong direction. It took us 90 minutes to find the hotel! The best way is to rent a cab to drive in front of you. This saves time and a lot of stress. Another thing: it is difficult to find a parking space nearby....
