Hostal Chic&Basic Tallers - Barcelona

Good location with easy accessibility to the Metro. Walking distance to La Ramble and some spots in Barcelona. Room is quite small for doubled bed room. Keeper in hostal are helpful and nice. Overall I had a good experience with my stay.

It is a pleasant concept (service limited but independancy with free access to the kitchen all day long) with a good relationship quality/price. Well located near the center of the city and close to metro/bus. The rooms are quiet (if the clients are not noisy!). Adapted to tourists who want a good situation, appreciate independancy and flexibility more than services and don't intend to stay at the hotel other than for the nights.

The hostel is nice and clean, the common area is clean and food are available all the time. The room is exactly like the photo shown in website therefore it's cozy to stay overnite. Location not to far from town.

They need to improve the quality of the towels as they are quite worn out and have the impression they are dirty If you under a budget this is the place to stay The staff -Reception and maids-are friendly and helpful

There were noise from the street because a bar is nearby. The bad thing is that WC and shower is in the room itself. For me it was a bit uncomfortable. It's too close to Rambla and Catalunia sq. Generally everything is well.

A nice place to stay in Barcelona. Close by the famous Rambla street. Staff is friendly and the fridge of the lounge area is free and available 24/24 !

Very helpful staff. They made the experience wonderful. Great breakfast and common areas. It's definitely a hostel, though, so expect the cleanliness, etc to reflect that. Great location.

I really enjoyed my stay: the location was great well served by puplic transport, in the hearth of student nightlife area. Highly racomended for young people, I totally loved it!

It's a welcoming and cosy place for small company/couple or single tourist.Hostal is hand-closed to popular sights of Barcelona! Hostal is situated in a good area with pharmacy, cafes and near subway station Universitat. Stuff is very friendly!

We had a great time at chick & basic, Ema and Petra really helped us to know Barcelona. We would come back here absolutely!!

A very nice place. Stylish, simple but comfortable and democratic. Everything new and clean. Enjoyed my stay.

The room was modern, clean, nice & bright, but very small (e.g. no place to hang clothes, nor space to store suitcase, and shower+toilet were combined without separation into 1 tiny space of 2x1m.) For the rest, this hostal is perfect ! Personnel is super friendly, and the breakfast + area is great ! If it were to have a little more space around the bed (or a cupboard :o) and an extra bathroom down the hall, it would be THE BEST !

I absolutely loooovved Chic & Basic Tallers! The staff could not have been more friendly, welcoming or helpful. I was travelling on my own & it was so nice to be able to chat to the hostel staff each time I was in the hostel (eg. in the mornings & evenings). It was like chatting to friends! The hostel has a lovely personal, homely feel to it, unlike large hotels. The staff at Chic & Basic are very good at directing you & offering advice in regards to tourist sights etc & they could not have spoken better english! They even jumped on the net at times to look things up for me & also let me use their phone when I had run out of mobile phone credit. Apart from the fabulous staff, the hostel is pristinely clean, fresh, modern, secure, quiet and has very cool, artistic interior design! The hostel is also in a fantastic location, a very short walk to Las Ramblas & less than a minute walk to the nearest metro station. Internet is free & accessible 24-7, & free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, juice, cheese, bread, ham & yoghurts are provided 24-7 at no cost!! Who could ask for more?!! I absolutely loooved Chic & Basic Tallers, it is probably the best accommodation I've ever stayed in & I've travelled a lot! I would definitely recommend staying at Chic & Basic Tallers anytime you are in Barcelona!

Me parecio un excelente hotel para el precio es autoservicio, es decir la pasajero le entregan llave de entrada al edificio, al hotel y a la habitacion la que es amplia muy limpia, lo unico el baño bastante pequeño pero para una persona sola esta bien. Incluyen el desayuno que uno mismo se prepara pero la hostal brinda todas las facilidades y cosas necesarias para tomar un buen desayuno. Excelente y muy bien ubicado.

Great location. Helpful staff. The only difficulty I had was I arrived at 9.20 pm. There was no one there to let me in. There was a phone number on the door, which I phoned. I had to get a taxi to the hotel's other branch in the city to pick up my key. A slight inconvenience, but the rest of my stay was great.

La habitacion individual en la que dormi es muy muy pequena y no tiene nada que ver con las fotos del sitio. Debe hacer alrededor de unos 8 metros cuadrados, lo que es muy poco. Para mi, no vale 60 euros. Ademas, hay mucho ruido a causa de la finura de las paredes.
