We were very happy with the room and found it very useful to have a small kitchen area - this helped us cut down on the overall cost of our holiday. The staff who welcomed us on arrival could not have been more helpful and friendly. The only slight problem was the noise level from the traffic, but this wasn't a big problem. It was also in a good location and great value for money.

The hotel is right in the heart of Barcelona, and is walking distance to most of the key tourist sites in Barcelona. They do not serve breakfast, but the room has a fridge, stove, dishes and silverware. It was also spacious for an older hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the value for the money was very good. I would stay here again.

We were so nervous about our first trip to Europe, but the staff at Barcelona Center made it so reassuring for us from the moment our first email came through, 2 weeks before our trip! The taxi took us right to the front door, and we loved the Casablanca-like entrance and elevator. It was like being in a movie! When the owner offered us a choice of two HUGE rooms for 4 people, and accomodated my disabled mother's needs, plus gave us directions to anyplace in the city, we knew we chose the right place. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room included everything we needed, and compared to any other room we stayed at during our 3 week trip, this place was the greatest! There was even a balcony, view, and so close to the city center, the Met, and a huge department store, all our needs were fully met!! Thank you so much from your Hawaiian visitors. We finally made it back home and will definitely stay with you again! The price was amazing for all the space, kitchen, high ceilings, perfect decor, and adjoining kitchen with even a stove and refrigerator!! Aloha!

This was my first time in Barcelona, but if I go there again, I'll certainly chose Barcelona Center Plaza. A metro stop and a 24-hours open supermarket just in front, very good connections with the main monuments. Welcoming excellent!

We had a fantastic stay in Room No. 1 which went to the backyard and was a bit small. We did not have a balcony which was OK because I think the rooms with balcony go to the front to the noisy street. The little kitchen with fridge helped a lot to keep things cool. The bathroom was very clean. Overall a fantastic value for money. The entrance hall of the building is amazing, nearly like a castle. Typically Eixample architecture. The elevator to up to the 3rd floor is really an eye-catcher. You have to press '1' to get to the 3rd floor.

The people were very welcoming and the place was perfect. We stayed in a 4 bedroom with our 3 small children (we asked for an extra cot) and it was perfect. We bought groceries as a small market across the street for breakfast. The location was fantastic centrally located

This place exceeded my expectations. I was a bit scared at first because I had never stayed at a hostal or a guest house type of place before. When I got off the cab we had to ask the driver where the hostal was, which was right across the street. It was late at night and there are no signs until you get to the property and there is a small sign by the entrance across from where the buzzer is. But once we got in, it was great. The people who work there are so helpful. One time we asked about what to do that day and he drew on a map the bus routes using different color pens so that we would not get confused. The room was great too. It was spacious for three people with one double bed and a single. The bathroom was much bigger than what I imagined it would be with a seperate room for the toliet. The little kitchenette was perfect. All the cooking utensils were provided, including a wine opener. It was also not as noisy as we expected. The hostal is located about a block from plaza catalunya. The area is pretty much dead after 10 -11 pm, but we never felt unsafe either. Only thing that may be a problem is the metro. There is a metro stop right across the street so when the trains go through it does feel like a very very minor earth quake. But after the first morning we didn't notice it .

Las habitaciones son cutres, muy cutres. Y caras.

Very nice hotel. We are a family of four, the kids are 9 and 11, and this place suited our needs and wishes perfectly. It is really central, it is close to everything (including metro and bus station). Perfect for families that strive for urban tourism. It might be a little hard to find, however. The sign is small, and according to Spanish tradition (?) it is regarded as the 1st floor - I would say it's the third.

Great hotel. Fabulous location, espacious rooms, complete kitchen , big terrace... Fantastic, we will repeat with no doubt. P.S If you want to be able to reach different places on foot this is the best hotel you can stay in, the location is perfect.

Wonderful Fantastic Hostel for our family!!! Went beyond my expectations! We did not pay attention at first that the accommodations were considered a "hostel" When I think of hostels I think of 20 something’s with backpacks partying all the time. This was not the case. Everyone was very respectful to others. The four days, that we where there we did not see the other guests. We would just would hear them leaving their rooms in the mornings. Family room- 1xDouble with a bunk bed. Kitchen equipped with a 2 burner stove top. Sink, small fridge all the dishes you would need. Utensils, glasses, coffee mugs, pots, frying pans, wine bottle opener (a must) Ensuite bathroom (very clean). Small table with 4 chairs. Closet, TV with cable and English speaking channels. Balcony. Heat and AC. The room was very, very clean. We did not expect it but, our room was made up for us every day and we were given fresh towels. To get to the hotel floor take the old time elevator to the 1st floor. Kids will love it! Walk out the front door and directly across the street is the metro stop-Urquinaona. Walk out the front door turn to the right and walk half a block and there is a grocery store-Open Cora. They open early and close very late 2400. Great prices. Has everything you would need. Milk, juice, eggs, bread, cereal, water (very chlorinated to drink out of faucet) They also have an ATM. Walk out the front door and turn left and walk 4 blocks and you are at La Rambla. The location was perfect to explore Barcelona. The owners are very, very friendly. If you have any questions about Barcelona they are more than happy to help. Building is getting a facelift. Scaffolding is covering building. Hope the pictures help. I highly recommend this "hostel" or in my opinion hotel for everyone!
