Hotel Express by Holiday Inn Geneva Airport - Cointrin Geneva

Probably the better and cheaper business option for Geneva airport area. For a Holiday Inn Express its not cheap by other world city standards, but I guess...hey ...its Switzerland. Have stayed many times before and will return again.

I really have a very very bad time at the hotel, i must confess because me and my partner were naked and sleeping when about two policemen and one policewoman burst into the hotel room without even knocking or any permission, they came in asking for our identities and why we are in Geneva, the most annoying and embarrassing part of it was that i was naked on the bed with my partner, we are not allowed to get out of bed nor covered our nakedness at all, and at the end of the day, nothing was found in the hotel room and not even a single thing was found, my GOD, i have never been ridiculed as this in my life, my partner who flew all the way from France was surprised, my mood changes and the rest of the short stay was spent in sadness, the hotel room number is room507 and the arrival date was 03.05.08 and the departure date was05.05.08, please is there any explanation for this action? or is it because we are BLACKS? because i believe our room was the only room that was searched that very day,and we need a quiet time together that was the reason why we choose to come to Geneva and the hotel was very close to the airport but unfortunately the reverse was the case, i bet it i would never recommend this hotel to anybody and i would never come back to this hotel again . Thanks.

Real Plus-Hotel is very close to Geneva Airport if you have an early am flight. Free shuttle to airport. However, no atmosphere. If you stay here go over to the Movenpick Hotel next store. Good restaurants and services but (Movenpick) is more expensive to stay in. There is a walk way between them and only a two minute walk to get to. I also thought the price was inclusive! However, when I got to the desk, they charged additional city tax as well!

You will miss the shuttle to hotel if you arrive Geneva Airport on the last train from the city. Also, problematic if you have early flights, the hotel was not able to get me an official taxi even though I requested one the night before. Airport shuttle only starts 5.50am. Ended up paying CHF20 for a unofficial taxi for the 5 min ride.

Convenient adequate and clean airport hotel offering all basic necessities required by the tired traveller. Good shuttle bus to/from airport. And 20 minutes by bus to Geneva. Very quick robotick check-in. With no other people checking in at the same time, receptionist seemed in a hurry & very economical with words.

Me and my wife stayed at the hotel for two nights and got the room we booked for (double queen size bed) only for the second night. The disappointing part was not mainly for the specific room we did not find available upon arrival, but mostly for the very unwelcoming, rude and unfriendly attitude of the staff in handling our requests. Just a "Sorry!" would have made our stay...instead we felt like being a burden to the staff...just for asking what we paid for. Not mentioning that the shower in our first room wasn't working properly and taking a shower was not nice. We eventually got a 10-12€ discount. Overall feelings about this hotel: nice rooms, location ok if you are on a business travel, service very very poor.

We were very disapointed in the hotel. First it was hard to find with their directions, second the staff were unfriendly and not helpful. The room was so small I had to put my suitcase on the bed in order to get it open. The bed spread was dirty and had stains on it, although the sheet did look clean, Thank goodness for that. There was no restaurant in the hotel so we had to go next door to Movenpick on a Sunday evening. We ate in the bar because the other restaurants, one closed and other extremely expensive. Bar food was also expensive and not any good. Over all, Do not stay here. Stay out in Geneva and take an early morning taxi to the airport. Better for your health.

On the viamichelin site the hotel is indicated as having a restaurant. There is no restaurant and there never was one. We had to go to the Mövenpick, which btw is not quoted on the viamichelin site. Very disappointing.

Everything was OK, we stayed for one night only. I like it because was quiet even is close to the airport. Most convenient if you have a flight early in the morning. A suggestion will be that to provide something for people living the hotel before they can get the breakfast, which they payed for it, to be able to grab something on the run.
