Very nice hotel for the price. Well located in a pedestrian street in the middle of Madrid most important place, Puerta del Sol. The only minus is that it could be a little noisy until midnight, but it could also be interesting(music, etc.). Rooms are a little small, but that is normal in Europe. We stayed twice and noticed that rooms with 2 single beds are bigger than a double. The breakfast buffet is great, with hot and cold items, including squeezed fresh orange juice. I will certainly be back if the price continue to be under 100 euros.

Wonderful location, close to Puerta Del Sol & Gran Via, very clean and tidy, the room was a bit small but cosy. We mistakingly reserved a room for the wrong date, and the receptionist was really helpful and kind. Highly recommended.

Location is wonderful, right off Plaza del Sol in the middle fo everything. Rooms sufficient. Shower outdated but operated well. Asked for extra blankets and pillows (you get one very flat hard one) and were told they did not have any extras. After some pushingm we were given 1 blanket and 1 pillow (there were 3 of us). We were also told we should ahve gotten it on our way in as apparently walking 2 floors was such a trouble. Tried again the next night with no luck. A hotel should carry extras of these kinds of basics. Other than that good experience. Would try somewhere different next time.

Excelent stay!!! The location is superb, beside the Sol metro station and square and in the middle of all the action, with a lot of stores near by. The rooms are very nice and clean and exactly as shown on te internet pictures and the price is very good. The staff is always happy to attend you also. Besides all this excelent points, they even provide a laptop inside your room with free fast internet access! The only downside is that buffet breakfast is a little expensive (9 euros), but is good. We loved our stay and would definetely stay here again.

I was thoroughly pleased with this hotel. European hotels typically have small rooms and bathrooms due to their limited space for development. This room was adequate for my 2 teenage sons and I to fit and the bathroom was large enough for us all to stand in front of the mirror in the morning! The room quote was to sleep 3. It did, however this was 3 twin beds pushed together. It was like sleeping bags side by side-camping in comfort! The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The AC was quiet and efficient for the hot August days. The internet connection was great. The bathroom balcony was a treat to open to the pedestrian filled streets below. The bathroom toiletries were lacking- soap, shampoo, comb only. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Our room had no bath but the shower and bidet were high tech and had ample hot water. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They spoke English well and went beyond their duties to help us call and retrieve our lost luggage from the airport. There is only one evaluator which is charmingly antiquated. The best thing about this hotel was the location. Although there are other La Petit hotels nearby this one was the best location. It is just a couple of blocks from the Puerta del Sol plaza, surrounded by shopping areas and restaurants and the wonderful buzz of people walking around and musicians on the corners. Even in the midst of this popular area, the hotel is on a quieter street which keeps the noise down. The location is very safe and very near the main subway stop for all of Madrid so catching any line was easy. Being a popular area for upscale locals and tourist, it was a bit more expensive to eat and shop than in other areas of the city. However, you could find little local places to patronize if you looked for them (our favorite just a block away was La Farola). Several blocks away is the Plaza Mayor where friends congregate nightly for tapas, music and vino. A must do. The Plaza Santa Ana also

Good place to stay in the middle of town near to metro. You can reach lots of public places just walking there. The double room was big enough. The breakfast served on the fifth floor was quite good for 8 Euros per person (normally 12 Euros). This was the second time I stayed here and I would stay here again.

The hotel is situated in the centre of Madrid in Puerta Del Sol. A three star hotel very clean and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned and the sheets changed daily.Although there is a lot of roadworks close to the hotel the excellent soundproofing ensured we were not disturbed by the noise. The hotel is excellent for short breaks or business trips.Breakfast can be taken in the hotel but other meals are not catered for. However there are a multitude of fine cafes resteraunts and bars within yards of the hotel. We found the hotel a great base for us to explore the city and would not hesitate to stay there again.

This hotel was an excellent choice for my family of 4, as there are a limited supply of "family rooms" in Madrid. It was conveniently located near transport and the pedestrian zone. Our room was quiet in the rear of the hotel, albeit somewhat small. The staff was helpful, all facilities were clean and well maintained, except for the shower, which never received the requested repair (broken faucet and clogged drain), but it still worked with much hot water and only a minor overflow. This was an enjoyable first time visit to Madrid. This chain is highly recommended, as we also stayed in an excellent Petit Palace (C/ Jimios) property in Sevilla. Bunk beds for kids were a plus.

For a location from which 'to do' Madrid the hotel is in an A1 position, just 150m from Sol, Madrid's equivalent of Oxford Circus. The Palacio Real and Cathedral are just 10 min walk west while the Prado is 15 min east. The hotel is in a pedestrianised area and so there was no traffic noise and general noise levels for a city centre hotel were minimal. Didn't have the breakfast - why bother when you can get a coffee and criossant for < 4 euros for 2 in a local cafe. Be advised - it took 2 hrs from the aircraft coming on stand at Barajas to arriving at the hotel. We used the Metro - I wouldn't even entertain the idea of trying to use a car in Madrid - and I doubt a new visitor to the city would even find the hotel and as for parking... Half of the 2 hrs was spent getting away from the airport. If you arrive at the new terminal 4 there is a huge wait for bags - then you have to find the shuttle bus (Spain is neither 'english' nor visitor friendly nor are its airports and rail stations signposted as well as in UK) for a 10 min ride to the old terminals 1,2,3 (you need 2 for access to the Metro altho' again you need sixth sense to know where to get off - no signs shouting 'Metro Here! - then 2 changes to get to Sol. Take the exit from the Metro for Calle Carmen, up the steps, turn left and walk for 2 blocks and the hotel is 2nd block on the left. Two days is probably enough in Madrid but as far as the hotel was concerned - hard to find better at the price, in my opinion.

A really convenient and pleasantly renovated hotel with a great breakfast (you have to pay 6 euros extra) and welcoming staff. The room was not huge but the three of us had enough space and my daughter loved the bunk bed arrangement. We also had a small balcony with a pleasant city view. There's free internet access in the breakfast room (in the loft). Petit Palace Londres is slap bang in the heart of the city - there's a branch of Zara beneath it and a Corte Ingles a short stone's throw away. The metro is a 2 minute walk. A great find.

On arrival I was informed that I was staying at a different hotel, another Petit Palace close by. Whilst this wasn't a major problem I was still annoyed at not being able to stay at the hotel I booked. Petit Palace have hotels all over Madrid and I suspect they accept over-bookings in one hotel and then move them to their other hotels nearby.

We stayed in this hotel for part of our honeymoon and they gave a a wonderful corner room. Great hotel right off a main walking street. The "Sol" metro station is a metro hub and is located less than a minute from the hotel. A taxi from the airport to the hotel is approximately 20-25 Euros ($26). It is possible to take a metro from the airport to the hotel, though you would have to change metro lines about 3 times. You can use the metro to get all over the city. Beatrice, a street guitarist, played the most beautiful guitar at night right outside our window the 3 nights we stayed there. The only negative comment is that the cool looking shower in the hotel picture looks cool, but doesn't massage very well.

Very centrally located, about 500mts from Sol metro station, 25/30 minutes from airport(taxi €25/30). Hotel is located in a pedestrianised area, lovely atmosphere in the area. Very close to shopping streets. However there can be a bit of street noise at night, which might affect light sleepers with rooms fronting onto the streets.Rooms while small, were spotless and the bed was comfortable, but if you are out and about during the day, who needs a big room if all you will be doing is sleeping in it .No teas maid in the room, which would have been nice to have.Breakfast not included in price, and a bit expensive at €12pp - but we got a special offer for our time there - two for the price of one each day, which was then good value. Free internet facility for guests. No other facilities in the hotel, no lounge area for sitting around. On day of check in, we arrived from Brazil at 8AM and they very kindly provided us with a room immediately, so full marks to them as we had expected to have to wait until at least noon time before being allowed to check in. There is a left luggage facility for use on day of departure. Hotel location is ideal for sightseeing, with most of the main sights within a 20/30 minute walk and city tour buses pass within 500 mts of the hotel. Many good eating places around the hotel. While the price at €100 pn, excluding breakfast, might be a bit on the dear side, I would use the hotel again as it is in a perfect location - sights, shops, eating places, metro very close - for a short stay in Madrid.

I enjoyed my stay in your hotel. The location was excellent, the room very good, the breakfast excellent and also the use of the computer.
