The smallest room in all my travels. Traveling with older teens--bunk beds???? No room even to put down suitcases. Had to pile them on top of each other. Ridiculous to have a room that size and call it quadruple. Breakfast good.

We reserved a room x four people (age 7 - 11), the room was even small for 2! We had no relation with the people at the reception, apart from chek in and check out. Breakfast not bad. The lobby was terribly small and there were NO touristic info/leaflet. The name HIGH TECH HOTEL was probably refered to the date of opening!

sono stato a Madrid 3 notti. ho prenotato una camera quadrupla per il nostro gruppo di amici. l'hotel è in in ottimissima posizione nella gran via. la camera era un po piccola ma riscaldata, luminosa, silenziosa.Bagno ok,pulizia ok.prezzo ottimo.Hotel davvero consigliato a chi vuole risparmiare e stare al centro.Io ci ritornerei.

We booked for 3 nights but stayed for only one because of the smell pervading the hotel. We moved to the Tryp Gran Via around the corner which was 10 times better at the same price. I should comment the staff at the High Tech Cliper (perhaps the awful name should have put me off??) were very courteous and helpful.

The room is ok, but the day I arrived it was really hot, and my room was probably about 45 degrees. Then I realized the air conditioner wasn't working and when I call the reception they said "we don't turn it on in this season, sorry... open your window". I was exhausted from my 24 hr trip and couldn't stay in the room and take a nap cause of the heat. Also, when I asked for help to bring my belongings up, the front desk lady was rude saying "there's no one here to help you at this time". Thank God the taxi driver was nice enough to help me out. In the shower, only a little water sprinkler worked, not the main shower heard, and the shower was really really small and tight. Besides that, breakfast was great and the area was awesome, but there are MAAAAAAAAAANY hotels which I found out to be better and cheaper in this area. I would definitely not stay there again.

This was a great place to stay for a family with older children who love to shop. Only a few steps from the Gran Via and a hundred metres from the nearest metro stop it was a perfect location for everyone to "do their own thing". Our family loved to "hang out" in the lounge/dining room downstairs where there was access to free internet and hot drink machine, newspaper in English and TV. The breakfast was great too!

We stayed here twice during our visit to Spain. First room (a Triple) was smaller than expected. But during our 2nd visit a week later, we were upgraded to a much larger duplex suite because they recognized us as returning guests. Front desk staff was helpful and their English was very good (a rarity in 3-star hotels in Spain). Location is close to metro and Old Madrid. Breakfast was extra but worth the EUR 8.

Hotel was in a location convenient for the metro and shopping. There are nice plazas within walking distance. The proximity to the main street was not desireable because the noise level. The street had a terrible urine stench. The a/c was extremely weak. Breakfast was offered for 8 euros, and seemed to be a good value.

We were re-directed to High Tech Clipper Petit Ducal 4 blocks away from High Tech Cliper Gran Via. I had read in the internet that this was a normal practice within this chain... and it happened to me. I had made the reservation on Jan/Feb 06, but nevertheless, once we arrived they told us they had problems with the room and we had to go to their partner hotel. This hotel looked smaller than the Gran Via branch. I had not much to compare it with, since it was not the one I made the reservations for. We did not require much service from the hotel or staff. They have a nice cafe, where we had good times.

As it was the first time travelling to Madrid I did not have any idea of the place so I hoped the hotel was in the city centre. I was releived to find out that infact it was. It was easy to find by taxi. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops. METRO is very near (only 3 mins walking) and also TOURIST INFO (5 mins walking)...I would greatly reccomend this hotel to all my friends and everyone as it is really well situated.

We stayed at this hotel for my Hen weekend. We had two triple rooms which were ideal for what we wanted. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the bathroom was really nice. The only one thing we found as a problem was one of the rooms open out to the stairs and was very noisy all night. The location was fantastic for shopping, site seeing and nitelife. Would recommend this hotel as it was good value for money, great location and the service was very friendly and helpful.

Second time at this hotel and was just as good as the first except this time breakfast was not included in the price(it was the previous time)Price was €7.50 + tax, a bit expensive so didn't partake. However rooms are a bit small but very clean and the bathrooms are very clean with a wonderful shower. Location is perfect right in the centre of Madrid with nearly everything within walking distance. Staff were friendly, so all in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Madrid. Great location, great price, clean rooms. Don't really need to say anymore.

The hotel was fine overall. It is located in the center of the commercial zone. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the Madrid center and some entertainment. There are only two computers available with internet connection so the way could be long sometimes. The staff need to be more knowledgeable about things going on in the city of tourist interest like the bull fights for example.

Having checked in with the less than welcoming staff, everything was exactly as expected in this very centrally located modern hotel. Spacious double room with lovely bathroom, very clean and airy. Excellent double glazing that kept out virtually all the noise from the street below which is a side street off Gran Via. The only noise comes through the very thin walls and ceiling which is a shame. Pleasant breakfast room with huge choice of food. Overall good value for money for the location and quality of room. We would definitely use it again.

We enjoyed our stay at the High Tech Cliper while visiting our daugther in school in Madrid. The location was excellent. Just off Grand Via and very close to the heart of Sol. Many restaurants nearby. The rooms were nice, adequate for any traveler's needs. Loved the bathroom. Very modern, beautiful shower. hair dryers available. Didn't eat there, So many other places to try. Staff were accomodating and spoke English. Europoean hotels of this class are not as spacious as those we may be accustomed to, but we did not feel confined. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a reasonable place to stay that is in a prime location.

We had a constant bad smell coming from the sewer system. It appears that the water in the traps was drained by some negative pressure in the main pipes leaving the drainage system open and releasing a bad smell. You have to figure out how to fix this problem since this was a very negative experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the High Tech Prime Cliper. The location is in het heart of the city center with all major attractions within walking distance. Rooms were clean and cosy but a little on the small side. We were in a double occupancy - single bed room. In one corner was a fold-up bunk bed that we did not need which was somewhat annoying because it took up space. Breakfast was okay and the service of hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
