Good stuff first -- the location was great and the place was quiet. Now the not so good -- we booked a family room for two parents and two children. No one told us that the bathroom door was glass. Completely see through. Might be ok in some circumstances but not for a family with two teenagers. Cleanliness -- there was trash on the floor in the room and the bathroom. No one had swept. Technology - Advertised as a High Tech hote. The wireless service didn't work. The cord they provided wasn't much better. They couldn't help me print my boarding cards. Staff - Completely unimpressed. Never volunteered anything. When pressed, could provide some minimal assistance. I would not book here again.

Excellent location, very clean hotel and very usefull the bikes you can use to get around Madrid, for free!! Just I dont like a lot the door at the bathroom is glass and every body can see you inside (if you are traveling with more people) while you are doing your stuffs!!

I strongly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect and the service provided was excellent. We were 4, a couple with 2 boys (18 & 14) and we stayed in a 4 bed room. The room was big, the beds were most comfortable with snow white clean sheets, large window, fully illuminated by the day light. The location is great in the very heart of Callao, full of transport, places to eat, to make shopping and my boys felt so comfortable that allowd them to come in and out by their own, at any time of the day and the night. Obviously if we return to Madrid, we shall stay in this hotel.

The receptionist personnel are really nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious and also, is very comfortable to work with internet inside of. One thing that I can say is that if you were lie on the bed you can see if somebody is inside of the bathroom. Because the closet has a big mirror on the door and the door's bathroom is transparent. We move the door's closet to avoid that effect. The breakfast is good, you have options to choose.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The room was very nice. Location was very good. We did not have breakfast at the hotel but there were a couple of cervecerias where we had breakfast for €10 for 4 persons! Everything like shopping and musea, palacio, retiro are in walking distance. Very nice, would stay there again.

Three of us stayed in a family room, its a bit cramped, couldn't turn off the a/c and worst of all the toliet has a glass door so you can see straight into the loo, can't imaging why anyone thought that would be a good idea. Wouldn't stay there again.

Hotel muy bien ubicado, solo a 50 metros de La Gran via, cerca de la estacion del metro Callo y Sol. Las habitaciones muy limpias y el personal sumamente atento y servicial. La unica observacion que pudiera hacer es la existecia de servicios (banios) cerca de la recepcion los cuales emiten un olor no muy agradable si usted se encuentra en esa area.

High Tech Hotel perhaps not so high tech. Internet connection possibilities at hotel - very 21st Century. Plumbing and heating at hotel - definitely pre-Roman. Pros: The hotel had good sound proofing between rooms; the windows were well insulated and blocked a lot of the noise from the street; the room, bed, and bathroom were clean; the staff was very helpful and couteous; located within walking distance of the old town and restaurants; not a bad walk to the Prado, about 15-20 minutes; nice flat screen tv. Cons: Poor sound proofing from the hallway - could hear doors slam and people talking in the hallway; shower very slow to drain; only cold water available one evening for showering; no control over the room temperature and the room was frigid (especially after the cold shower); transparent glass divider and door between main room and toilet - your roommates will have to go stand in the hallway if you need privacy in the toilet. Pro or con (depending on the person): the bed was hard as concrete.

Best family room we have ever had, arge,bright in well equipped hotel. in centre of city, but still quiet enough at night even tho overlooking Gran Via. Easy and cheap to get to from airport on metro.Shops, restaurants, night life, transport day and night right at hand. Perfect venue to experience Madrid.

We stayed in a quadruple room with a double bed and bunk beds for 3 nights. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location is excellent, right in the center, with 2 close metro stations Gran Via and Callao. Right across to the hotel is a flamenco tablaos, which was very convenient and the hotel made a reservation for us. We did not have breakfast at the hotel because it was not included in the price, but we did not have any problems finding breakfast on Gran Via and just around the corner of the hotel there is a big café restaurant serving good food.

hotel molto comodo, in zona centrale sulla gran via. la posizione è eccellente. la reception è come se non esistesse. le camere sono pulite e sarebbero anche carine, ma con tutto quel legno stile armani anche in bagno, a volte si sente un po' odore di muffa. se sopportate la cosa, non so se troverete un altro hotel in quella posizione a cosi buon mercato...

Fantastic price for a very nice and well located hotel. Despite being so close to Gran Via the room was really quiet, spacious and modern. Breakfast not included, and the price quoted on VENERE was not the price you had to pay to stay in this hotel ... some sort of tax was on top of the quote price, and this was an unwelcome suprise. VENERE SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! HAVE A TICK BOX FOR TAX INCLUDED OR NOT! It's unprofessional to not quote the real amount you have to pay to stay in a hotel room!

The room was for a family of four.We had very little privatacy the bathroom door was glass and you could see in not good for a mother and 3 males.The room was smelly and some of the breakfast was stale .Overall not fresh feeling about the place.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast - buffet style (not included in price)- was good value for 6 euro. Rooms not spacious enough. Website said there was transport to and from the airport but this was not so and we had to get a taxi 'cos we had a lot of baggage. The position of the hotel is very central!! Cleaning of rooms was very accurated, also if I leave the room at 3 p.m.!!! Only the room was smaller than in photo, the photos probably refer to the suite and not to the normal rooms! in night time (1-2 a.m.) the way behind hotel was not too busy and so the guardian close the door with key! very good price for a central hotel!!!

Although a little far from Rome's centre, the location was convenient and staff friendly. The common area was kept clean and tidy. Overall it was good value and I would look it up again for our next stay in Rome.

The good news- hotel is located in a central location close to everything, definitely couldn't get any better in that aspect. THe staff was very friendly and helpful. THe rooms were clean and nicely updated. The bad news- SMALL room! And with the "hi-tech" theme, they designed a bathroom with a glass door that was NOT private what so ever. I specifically chose this hotel because of the free internet access and its location. I had a feeling that the photos of the room were too good to be true and they were.

Very friendly and helpful staff, and great central location. Pretty good buffet breakfast. But be warned, we faced the lift on the first floor and guests coming and going were exceptionally noisy and thoughtless of guests sleeping. Making mobile phonecalls on the stairwell, to avoid waking their own partners! The hard surfaces to walls didn't reduce the noise coming from reception, one night a loud night employee talking to friends on the phone!

This hotel was fantastic. It is very centrally located and very convienient to everything. The main plaza is within a 5 minute walk although it might take you hours to get there because of all of the shopping there is to do. We had a great time and a great stay. The rooms were a little small, but it was clean and perfect for 2 people. I would definately stay there again.

Eccellente la posizione,camera pulita ma non enorme con un lato del letto addossato alla parete, bel bagno con doccia idromassaggio con un appunto da fare: la porta del bagno è di vetro satinato con una finestra trasparente senza alcuna privacy.Cara la colazione.La hall è molto piccola ma con un computer pubblico e bevande a disposizione.Rapporto qualità/prezzo molto buona.

The workers at the reception desk were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The cleanliness of the rooms should be improved. You find some patches on the walls, curtains, and stains on the beddings and towels. Some bed floors have opened due to long usage and needs replacement. Generally, the cleaners do not do a thorough cleaning of the rooms.

Good location, with all Madrid reachable by foot in less than 15 mn : - Puerta del Sol, 5 mn - Prado & Parque Retiro, 15 mn - Palacio Real, 10 mn - Plaza Espana, 10 mn. A great thanks to employees, competent, kind and helpful. We would recommand Family Excel rooms for family with two children. Family rooms are quite small.

Some of the family rooms are really very big (the corner rooms). they can fit an extra bed, for total 5 people, and still have plenty of space. It includes pc with free internet, and training byke. Its superb. Some other family rooms are not so big, but they still have space enough for 4 people

The most irritating facet is the smallness of the quad room and the absolute lack of space for cases and clothes. Moreover, the room is too hot, but opening windows is quite impossible because the noise and the traffic gas stench.
