Overall a good stay, good location, friendly staff. Only two downs: a) the lights in the room are very, very, very poor. 4 bulps to light up a room of that size? I felt like in a cave. b) it was too cold in the rooms. It took the whole day to heat it up to have a somewhat acceptable room temperature. I understand to turn down the heating when a room is not occupied for energy saving reasons, but to turn it completely off on the first polar winter day Rotterdam has seen within in the last couple of years it not quite the smartest move. however, all in all good value for money, I recommend.

16 euros for a breakfast is too much. And if the recepcionist says it's included in he price I don't know why I have to pay 36 euros for two extra breakfast. I find it a shame and I wont come back to this hotel for this reason

The Savoy Eden was perfect for my business stay.It was convenient to reach from Schipol. The hotel location makes it wasy for trallers to reach aoppointments via short cab rides. The young staff was exceedingly polite and helpful.The Eden is small,quiet a perfect place for a visiting business man. Thr computer room was available 24/7, a most valuable asset these days...Afternoon coffee a bit high at Eu 3.7 (not a full cup) Not a complaint,an observation.I will always book the Eden when in Rotterdam. With only 72EUR per night for a 4-star hotel, the price/quality is defintely excellent. I went there in Easter holiday and the town was quite 'boring' in Sunday, luckily there is free internet access in the hotel. The hotel is near the Oude Haven region, that's a nice place to go. Also, it is not far from the Centrum area too (walking distance to me). There is a local market on the area of Blaak train/metro station that is interesting to take a look. Overall, this hotel is excellent if you stay in Rotterdam.

How to reach Hampshire Hotel - Savoy Rotterdam
By carFrom Amsterdam/Leiden/The Hague/ Schipol Airport: Take Highway A4, A13, then follow the signs for Rotterdam centre E19. Take Schieweg/Schiekade to the Hofplein roundabout. Go3/4 of the way round the roundabout and take the road for Goudsesingel on the right. At the 3rd traffic light turn right onto Mariniersweg. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Hoogstraat street where you will find The Eden Savoy Hotel Rotterdam at number 81.
From Utrecht : Take the A12 to Gouda, then the A20 towards Rotterdam. Continue on the A16 towards Dordrecht. Follow the signs for Rotterdam Centrum (exit 25 before Van Brienenoord bridge). On Maasboulevard at the 4th fourth traffic light turn right (Havenziekenhuis on your right). At the nest traffic light turn left onto Oostplein Then take the 1st right ontoKipstraat and then the 2nd left onto Hoogstraat where you will find The Eden Savoy Hotel Rotterdam at number 81.

From Rotterdam Central Station: take Tramline 21, get off at station Blaak under the Cube-houses on the left, to Mariniersweg. Take the first street on the right Hoogstraat where you will find The Eden Savoy Hotel Rotterdam at number 81. Alternatively, you can take Tramline 8, get off at Goudsesingel/Kipstraat. Turn onto Kipstraat street, and you will see The Eden Savoy Hotel Rotterdam on your right.
