The Hotel Apollo First enjoys a lovely position in one of Amserdams most beautiful neighbourhoods Apollolaan, the heart of cultural Amsterdam, close to the Van Gogh museum, the Rijks museum and the Stedelijk museum.
The hotel is one of the last family hotels of Amsterdam. Under the management of the first and second generation Venmans the hotel has developed into a warm and friendly 4 star hotel where modern comfort and traditional elegance join hands.
The hotel offers all the modern comforts: a hall of mirrors - extremely suitable for receptions, dinners, buffets and other celebrations, conference facilities for up to 30 people, a lounge where guests will find a computer with Internet access, a cosy bar/library where small snacks can be served. Good hotel in a quiet position of the city not too close to the center. We had reserved a double room but we had receveid a twin room. The breakfast is not included in the price

Pros: The hotel is really ok, clean, rooms are quiet enough, and generally the staff is kind. Contras: Too far from city center, problems accepting debt card (had to pay in advance), no private parking, breakfast not included, tourist tax not included in the price shown. I mean, all is stated in the webpage, but it does not respect the usual policy at venere.com, where you are sure that you get the room for that price with B&B accomodation. I would say it is possible to find something better.

El Hotel está muy bien ubicado, es limpio y muy cuidado, nos sorprendió mucho al llegar, no eserábamos tanta calidad por el precio que pagamos. Muy bien comunicado, tiene el tren, los colectivos (buses) y el metro (subway) a unos metros que te llevan a cualquier lado. Es silencioso y cada habitación es myu espaciosa. Nos cobraron exactamente lo que pactamos por internet. Por ah'i por ponerle algún punto en contra, dificil encontrar sitios para comer por la noche o para comprar algo para cenar luego de las 21:00hs si no lo tenes incluído en el precio; y, si cabe, el estacionamiento del coche es un poco caro. Pero si volviera a Bruselas, repetiría sin dudas, MUY RECOMENDABLE

I had a large room and renovated bathroom. I couldn't find cnn on TV, although their was cnn on lobby TV. Agood hotel, but not convenient to Amsterdam tram system. First stay.

it is the third time that i book a room via venere.com.I was very pleased of my stay each time.In Amsterdam i was very disappointed.I booked a room at the rate of 99 euros as it was annonced on the site.i had to pay 35 euros more for one day because tax and breakfast was not included.15 euros for each breakfast .A very average breakfast.In Prague and viterbo everything was included and the standard was higher.You can check when i booked the price was 99 euros.People were not very comprehensive.The majoration is more 30% for one day. Very nice hotel for Amsterdam in a pleasant area and close to tram to Canal district and airport. We had two rooms, one was spacious and bright and one was a bit small and dark. The patio and breakfast area was lovely and staff very nice. I would stay here again.

How to reach Apollofirst - A Hampshire Classic Hotel
By car
From any point of the A10, reachable by all highways, follow the indications to the S109. Take the exit S109 and at the first traffic light turn right and continuing straight until you reach Scheldestraat, turn left at Churchilllaan and continuing straight until you reach Apollolaan.
By train
From the main railway station of Amsterdam guests can take the tram 5 or 24 and get off at Apollolaan.
By airplane
The Amsterdam Schiphol airport is situated about 7,5 km from the hotel.
