The Somerville Hotel is a lovely retreat located in Torquay, the hometown of the undisputed queen of crime and mystery novels, Agatha Christie.
The hotel was originally a Victorian villa and it still retains much of its old charm. Set in its own extensive grounds the property features beautiful gardens and a large private car park.
The structure offers guests a warm welcome and the aim is to give the very best service and to make all visitors feel relaxed and at home. All rooms are well furnished and have the highest standards of cleanliness. Some of the newly refurbished rooms also offer Super King-size beds.
Additionally, there is a lovely sun lounge where guests can relax with a morning paper, a favourite paperback or simply watch the world go by.
Facilities include colour TV in the lounge, a bar open till late, a dining room, front and rear gardens and large private car park.

Stayed here for a weekend relaxing break. Very friendly hosts and upon arrival gave us a map of Torquay and recommended places to eat. Good quality furniture throughout and huge comfy bed. Fresh milk for tea/coffee in the fridge to help yourself to. You could also help yourself to fresh cookies and fruit. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and you could basically have any combination you asked for.
