The Waters Edge guest features an enviable position, in the centre of Torquay town, and set back from Livermead Beach with views across the entire bay.
Torquay, often referred to as the English Riviera, offers a number of great tourist sights, such as the Princess Theatre, Paignton Zoo, and Kents Cavern (Stone Age historic site), as well as a range of restaurants, bars, and nine fabulous beaches.
The guest house offers an array of facilities including an outdoor swimming pool, a bar, a restaurant serving a range of English and International dishes, and a lounge area featuring complimentary wireless Internet access, and from which you can enjoy the gorgeous views of the bay.

We enjoyed amazing value for money as we took advantage of a special promotion. The room was spacious, warm, comfortable and newly refurbished in a modern unfussy style. The only noise was of gale force winter winds raging outside! Lovely view from elegant dining room over garden and out to sea and coastline. Open sea was just over road, and pleasant promenade/beach stroll less than 5 minutes away. Delicious full English breakfast, but people paying full rates might expect vegetarian option to be offered.

Room 46 Twin Beds Stay enjoyed with very good staff and service but spoilt by the size of on-suite which I would be surprised if legal with building regulations, and a showers that have to be on full blast to get hot water

Since I didn't arrive til after dark it was extremely difficult to find this hotel as the sign is not lit and the drive is tucked away. There were tour buses parked in the drive making it very difficult to get out. Luckily I could turn around (6 point turn!)at the top of the drive to go back down & back into a space so I wouldn't have to back into the traffic to leave. But, if all the angle parking spaces had been full that wouldn't have been possible The room was cramped and noisy (motorcycles outside my window). Breakfast only from 8-9am; I had to leave at 7:30 (I had to knock up the night manager to check out). The restaurant was not open when I arrived so I had to go back out into unfamiliar territory to find a place to eat (the night manager told me a place to go, which I found, but it wasn't very good) and helped get me out of the drive way by standing in the road & stopping the traffic. He was quite nice and helpful but obviously perplexed by my frustration with the whole situation. I did not like this hotel.

From the A380:
Follow the A380 along Torquay Road, which becomes Newton Road, until you reach Riviera Way (A3022). Continue on the A3022. When you arrive at the junction of Torre Station, take the right hand lane and continue down Avenue Road (A3022), which leads into Kings Drive. At the end of Kings Drive you need to turn right onto the Seafront road called Torbay Road (A3022). Drive along this road until you see the Waters Edge Hotel which is situated on the right hand side, just past Seaway Lane.
