This hotel has not 24/24h check-in service, but they write on their website that you can check-in until 3AM. I warned them about my late arrival (around 1AM) sending an email to the address provided by venere.com but never received a reply. When I arrived, around 1.30AM, I ringed the bell and the owner asked to wait inside for him to arrive. I entered and... well, awaited. After two more unanswered phone calls, at the third a girl came downstairs and checked me in. I ended up in my bed at 2.50AM (and paid the full price the morning after), in another building where I wasn't escorted to, but just given indication on how to arrive. I'm very patient and not used to complain loudly, and it would have beed a nice touch by the staff/owner to *at least* apologies, moreover because I was about to return within a week... Apart from that, the room was a bit cramped and old-fashioned, but everything was there as they advertise on their website. It's a 10' walk to the cathedral, not far from BSI bus station either and in a very quiet residential neighborhood. They should just take more care about guests arriving late...

Normally don't rant in these things, but sorry Floki Inn we were very disappointed. The double room we were allocated did not resemble the photographs at all. It was a very small room, with about 300mm between the two single beds - barely enough space to walk! (curiously the room was shown as a single on the fire plan...) It was also an extremely noisy room, we could hear every door opening into the corridor and the walls were so thin we could hear the people in the room next to us talking. Pretty disappointing and very expensive for what we got. We found much better, and cheaper, accommodation in the city centre for our last night in Reykjavik. Wish we had booked there in the first place. I would not recommend Floki Inn to others.

We had an excellent stay at Floki. Rooms were tidy and clean (though small) and the price was unbeatable. It was at least 35% cheaper than anything else we found online, and an Icelandic friend thought the price was unbeatable for Reykjavik. The location is on the outskirts of downtown, so most attractions are within walking distance. Employees were courteous and helpful. Facilities were always spotless.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.

Check-in: the rooms are available at any time after 2 p.m.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than 11 a.m.
