Guest House Golden Tree - Prague

I came to Prague with around 18 friends to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary. I stayed along with most of my friends in the Golden tree and neighbouring house avalon, and it was exactly as I had expected it. It was excellent value for money, and just as I remembered it the first time I came, when I stayed at house avalon. I have always loved Prague as it is so picturesque, and when you find a place that is full of the charm you hope to find, it makes it all the better. Breakfast was served fresh every morning, and nothing was too much trouble. Coffee and water for tea was piping hot, and the juice was ice cold... just what the Dr ordered after a night on the tiles. All in all, our stay was one I will never forget, thanks to the hospitality of Golden tree, and the surroundings. Thanks to the lady who saw to our needs, you made it a fantastic trip.

Excellent, very quite romantic location. The house lady's mother welcome us, who understand everything which is neccesary for the communication to serve the guest. She can speak a few words of the language of the word. She was very kind and friendly. One bed was broken by the previous guest's children, next day 9.30 pm it was changed by the owner of the house, as she promissed. We slept in an other house, str.Novy Swiet Nr.11., wich is an appartman for 4-5 person, which is convinient for a family with 2-3 children, or five very close friend, because the rooms are not separated totally, only with courtains. The bulding has two rooms with two bad, and one bad opposite the kitcen, with one convertible bad. The appartman is recently rebuilt, with two nice and clean bathrom. Unfortunatelly one of the bathroom had no mirror. The surrounding has unic atmosphera. Overall I recommend for everybody, who like the appartman style places. Good value for your money.

The Golden Tree provides the best location in the old town of Prague, only minutes walk to the Prague Castle. It is difficult to find, and parking can be a problem, but well worth the trouble. Do not stay here if you are wanting 5 star comfort, but this is more of a cosy family villa with a fantastic location. Highly recommended for families who are prepared to experience the culture a little.

excellent welcoming and surroundings but the room was not clean at our arrival and the cleanliness in the kitchen wasn't the priority of the owner ,whereas the price by night was very high( 90€ by night)

STAY here!!! this is a wonderful place run by great people. I stayed here with my three children and it worked out perfect! The location couldn't be any better.

Extremely friendly and welcoming which was a great relief after hours of travelling. Offered us breakfast on arrival which was very welcome. Able to come and go freely and make tea in the kitchen whenever! Only noise was a church bell on the quarter hour through the day but this stopped at night. Would highly recommend restaurant in photo. Great food, excellent service and a very reasonable price. Had a great time thanks.

This is a pleasant property in the old city. The room was large and clean and the breakfast very generous. The bathroom was however unbelievably small and not en-suite. The staff were helpful and friendly. Overall we would stay here again but make sure we booked a room with an en-suite bathroom.
