Riad Yacout is a superb traditional guesthouse in Morocco. Located in Meknès, a lively town -once capital of the country- between Fès and Rabat, this cosy riad will give you a taste of the genuine Moroccan hospitality.
The friendly and flexible staff will do everything they can to meet your expectations. A shuttle can be organised from and to the airport, upon request. Breakfasts and meals can be served where guests like it best, either in one of the 2 lounges or up on the terrace. The rooftop terrace is not only the perfect spot for a candle-lit diner, but also for sunbathing near the swimming pool. The refreshing patio, with its water basin, is a welcome refuge during the hottest hours of the day.
Riad Yacout lies within walking distance of the very lively Lalla Aouda square and of the Royal Golf course (offering discounted rates to the guests). Upon request, a guide will take you around the Medina and the old city walls; excursions can also be organised to Fès or into the desert.

This is in a good location just outside medina, but it was difficult to get to a cab stand when we wanted to go to Volubilis and Moulay Idriss. (we walked a mile to the cab stand) Breakfast was minimal, common areas were cold,and room never really got warm,even with heater. Be forewarned: The bathroom is an alcove in your room. If you stay here, stay with relatives or very close friends. There is NO privacy in the bath. Also,like other places in Morocco, the credit card machine is broken and you must pay cash.Be prepared.
