Two complaints - firstly, my suitcase mysteriously got wet whilst I was away at work. This happened twice and my clothes inside were soaked. Secondly, I was stood on the doorstep ringing the bell for at least 10 minutes on two occasions (night time and cold)before someone answered the door.

Once you enter the place you relialise that it's smelly and damp place. Rooms are all smoking and there were smell of smoke coming form the other rooms. Even the quilt was smelly. I payed £73 as I did not book in advance but I'm sure there were much better options for similar price. I don't recommened this place at all. It was very bad experience for me and my family. Will never book there again.

the room was very dirty, dark and gloomy. The furniture was damaged. The carpet was too used (needs to be changed asap). The TV did not work. There was even a screw on the floor (a child hurt herself...very dangerous!!!). The service for breakfast was good. 2 receptionists were really nice whereas another one was appalling!!!

Out of all the places i've ever stayed, this was the worse, walls were covered in stains, shower had no where to hang it, towell rail was hanging off the wall, breakfast was kiddie size burnt and greasy. To top it all off When we got back to the room after a night out and got on the bed it collapsed and ended sleeping on the filthy matress on the floor. It was so bad it was funny.

I have never ever seen such a shabby room, the wallpaper was dirty and broken the lamps only a bulb, the bath only a small space in our room an old TV was put down , it smelled awfull and the stuff in the breakfast room was very unfriendly. We were afraid to go back to the hotel to sleep !!!!

Shabby hotel, small rooms and very tiny bathroom. Towels available, but no soap, shampoo, etc. No heating. Suitable if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room. Good breakfast, close to tube station.

It was rather dirty in there, equipment and furniture old. Room in basement what was not mentioned. Employees not too nice and friendly (reception, nice girl in restaurant). I was not feeling safe in there. The location is poor and price to high for that. Took it cause I had to and didn't have any choice.

Compaired to other London Hotels I've stayed at this hotel was abismal. It needs a complete overhaul. Also on the web site it stated "free carparking". When aasked where it was, we were told on the roadside, where you had to pay during peak periods. Thankfully we found another hotel with vacancies so did not stay there.

This wonderful little hotel has got to represent the best value over-night stay in the capital.Okay, the paint is a little tired, and it's not five star, but my son and I had a really comfortable night, on spotlessly clean cotton sheets, and a hearty breakfast, with coffee refills on request, for £43.Now,that is value for money! The staff were charming, chatty and friendly. The lovely Irish lady on evening reception duty even put an extra heater in our room whilst we were out, as we were staying on a particularly cold night.Breakfast was fine. The only thing I found difficult was that, although there is street parking directly outside the hotel, this is on a meter for a maximum of two hours before 6.00pm. The website simply states that parking is available. Still, not that many people bring a car into London. I have seen some poor reviews of this hotel on various sites but all I can say is that, as with most things in life, you tend to get what you pay for. This is a perfectly acceptable place for a budget stay, on a quiet, safe, residential street with 24 hour reception. If you are fussy, give it a miss and check out something nearby at £75 per person per night.

Not luxurious but quite nice especially regarding the price (compared to prices of hostels in London with less comfort.) The furniture isn't new but it was more or less clean. Staff wasn't very competent but very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is definitly 'English'.

The room was a tip! Furniture broken Shower broken Toilet roll holder broken Curtain rail broken TV broken Shower cubicle door (what was left) broken Bed clothes stained carpet stained curtains stained Ceiling stained (and cracked) I'm a seasoned traveller, I did not expect too much. This was a disgrace.
