Though only five minutes' walk from busy Marble Arch it is a world away in this quiet street which opens onto all the splendour of Hyde Park.

Location was exellent, the hotel was cosy and clean. Breakfast was very good and the service nice and friendly. It was a little bit cold in the room, especially near the window. Unfortunately the printer in the lobby could not print our boardingpasses for the flight, so we had to queu in three places in the airport and pay 20 pounds more for that. But next time we will choose Parkwood again!

I travelled to London with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. We chose to stay at The Parkwood Hotel and we were certainly not disappointed. The location of the hotel was absolutely brilliant - right next to Hyde Park and 5 minutes away from Oxford Street. There were a multitude of shops, restaurants and pubs nearby, yet the street on which the hotel was located was very quiet. The rooms were quite small but very clean, with a good bed and a powerful shower. Breakfast was really nice - full English, plus cereals, toast, juice, etc. Staff were really friendly and helpful too - I would definitely stay here again!

The location is excellent for getting all around the city. It however lacked a lot of the friendliness and atmosphere that we are accustomed to with a B&B.

Rooms were very small, no elevator, lots of stairs, heat was provided by an portable heater. It is located near the tube and bus lines which is convenient. It was nice to be close to Hyde Park and away from central London noise and crowdedness but for the price one would expect more. The rooms should have been around 40lbs, not 80+
