Villa Akme is an excellent budget guest house in Gdansk, situated in a quiet residential area, just outside the city centre. There are lots of shops in the vicinity, including a small supermarket by the no. 1 tram stop where you can buy a packed lunch before heading into town. The tram stop is only a 10-minute walk from the property and the no. 1 tram will take you to within walking distance of the Gdansk Glowny Railway Station in the city centre.
Many visitors to Gdansk keep on coming back to the family-run Villa Akme Guest House because of the friendliness of its owners and staff. As well as making you feel very welcome, they will do their utmost to help you find your feet in Gdansk, explaining how to get tram tickets and even translating the local takeaway menus into English if possible.
You can look forward to a plentiful buffet-style breakfast, which is delivered fresh to the guest house every day. Wireless Internet access is also available in the lobby for those who have a laptop, handy for checking your emails while away.

We wouldn't even bother looking for other accommodation - we would definately go back. The staff were all welcoming and keen to help us with any requirement. They were very good at finding trams, buses and train times and numbers which meant we could make the most of the time we had in Gdansk and around. The breakfast buffet was much better than we would have expected from a hotel of this nature, and they even accommodated my wife's gluten intollerance. I would have appreciated a bit more information on which tram number and what stop to get off at on arrival, as this is not in the directions, but other than that, it was a perfect base. Also, the bar (pizzeria Amanda) at the tram stop does big platefuls of good Polish food and pizzas till late at night - which you can also order as a take-away from the hotel.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel.
