exterior The Guesthouse is set within a charming Victorian Period House whilst the interior is tastefully finished with a warm modern décor. NB’s Guesthouse was awarded a 4-star diamond award by the prestigious Automobile Association (AA) Accommodation Guide.

Newly renovated, NB’s Guesthouse features a mix of en-suite and standard double, twin and family rooms. 1 and 2 bed apartments also available. Each bedroom features; a coloured TV, complimentary tea and coffee, FREE Wifi, wash basin, wardrobe, new deep-spring mattresses and window blinds which are black lined to ensure a peaceful and relaxing nights sleep.

The Guesthouse is located just a short 10-15 min walk from Princess Street, Edinburgh Castle and all the cities major tourist attractions, eateries and nightlife hubs. Public transport accessible from directly outside the Guesthouse to the city centre and beyond.

A wholesome and freshly prepared Scottish or Continental breakfast is available between 07.45am and 09.00am. at a charge of £5.00 per person.

Secure private parking available at the Guesthouse; however spaces are limited so we highly recommend pre-booking a space to ensure you are not disappointed on arrival. The charge for parking is £5.00 per day (off-peak season) and £10.00 per day (peak season).

Whilst check-in time is not until 14:00pm, for those of you arriving in Edinburgh prior to this time, your luggage can be left in the Guesthouse until your room is ready. Similarly, for those departing Edinburgh late on your check-out date, luggage can be left in the Guesthouse until 17:00pm.

Please note: 2 night minimum stay when booking a Saturday night and 3 night min stay for all Peak Events (Rugby matches, Festivals etc).

Standard Family Room: Family room with double bed and either bunk beds or 2 single sofa beds. Strictly 2 adults and 2 children up to 16 years only. En-Suit Family Room: Luxurious room featuring a modern four poster bed and 2 single sofa beds. Strictly 2 adults and 2 children up to 16 years only. Room features an En-suite, coloured tv, complimentary and coffee etc. Breakfast £5.00 per person. NON SMOKING. 2.5% card charge.

Garden Apartment: Spacious apartment on the garden level of our Guesthouse. Apartment features 2 large bedrooms (one with double bed and set of bunk beds and the other with a double bed). Large modern kitchen. Spacious lounge with 2 double sofa beds, coloured TV, dining table etc. Private garden with BBQ facilties NON SMOKING Full payment taken on booking. Card charge 2.5%. Maximum occupancy 8 adults and 2 children up to 16 years only.

Patio Apartment: A small suite in the lower level of our Guesthouse. Apartment features 1 bedroom (double and single sofa bed, small lounge with 2 comfortable sofa beds, coloured TV, kitchenette and dinning table. Bathroom with shower. NON SMOKING. Full stay taken on booking. 2.5% credit card charge. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults and 3 children up to 16 years only.

Breakfast at Nb's Guest House

A wholesome and freshly prepared Scottish or Continental breakfast is available between 07.45am and 09.00am. at a charge of £5.00 per person. For those of you who wish to have a lie-in, a continental breakfast can be brought to your room. Whilst breakfast does not start until 07.45am, for those of you who need to rise early to catch a flight or train, we can arrange to prepare a Continental tray for you the night before.

How to reach Nb's Guest House

By car
The Guesthouse is very accessible from all routes by car. We advise downloading directions from Google maps or AA route planner before you arrive. Or please contact us to get accurate directions. Also, we have limited parking so if you wish to drive, please contact us to book a parking space in advance.

By train
If you are arriving at Waverly Train Station you can then get a taxi, bus or walk to the guest house. A taxi will cost aprox. £5.00. If you wish to take the bus, numbers 10 or 27 both stop directly outside the Guesthouse. The buses only take exact change (Adult - £1.20 & Child - £0.70p. If you wish to walk, the Guesthouse is aprox. a 20-30 min walk from Waverly train statation.

By airplane
The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport. From the airport the Airport Link (X100) will take you into the city center. From the city center you can take bus number 10 or 27 which stops directly outside the Guesthouse. A taxi from the aiport costs aprox £15-18 and from the city centre aprox. £5.00. If you wish to walk from the city centre it takes aprox. 20- 30 minutes.

By public transportation
From the city centre, Lothian bus numbers 10 or 27 stop directly outside the Guesthouse. The bus fair is £1.20 for an adult and 70p for a child. Exact change only as they do not give change on the bus.
