The hotel is well located on Copacabana beach within walking distance to Ipanema. Lots of good resturants nearby. The public areas of the hotel have been redone and are quite nice. The rooms could stand a renewal. Try to get an ocean front room as the rooms in back seem quite claustrophobic. The breakfast was adequate, but the quality could stand improvement.

How to reach Hotel Golden Tulip Regente
By airplane
From Rio de Janeiro-Galeão Antônio Carlos Jobim International Airport (GIG): take Linha Vermelha Street, pass through the centre of Copacabana and the Perimetral. Take Aterro do Flamengo Street, pass by Praia de Botafogo Beach and then go through the Pasmado Tunnel and the Novo Tunnel. Take Princesa Isabel Avenue and then turn right into Atlantica Avenue, where the hotel is located.
