Description Résidence San Lorenzo a Linari

extérieur Linari is a medieval monastery located in the wonderful Montagnola area 8 km southwest of Siena. Built in the llth century, it was converted to a grand country 500 years later by renowned Sienese architect Baldassarre Peruzzi.

The apartments, furnished with antiques and traditional Tuscan furniture have modern kitchens and bathrooms. While some are more luxurious than others, they are all bright and comfortable.
Our guests enjoy 2 swimming pools (one for children), a tennis court (lessons possible) and table tennis. A poolside snack bar is open during the summer season. In addition, there are lovely grounds for dining, lounging or playing ball. We arrange tours of Chianti, San Gimignando and Volterra, tours of Brunello, tours of Siena and of Florence, tours of crystal, cooking lessons and course of ceramic, hiking and biking in Tuscany, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, tours of oil & truffle, canoeing, quad trips, offroad trips, sail boating with skipper visiting the Tuscan archipelago. All the excursions, lessons and tours are arranged at the Residence. Our driving-guides will pick you up directly at the Residence and take you to the departure point of the tour/lesson and back unless otherwise stated.
In the ancient cellars of the villa is located the fantastic Beauty Farm Center wich space includes a sauna, jacuzzi, hamman, balneothalasso and a chromotherapeutic shower. Also offered are a variety of beauty treatments including massage (relaxing, shiatsu, detoxing), facials, body treatments, manicures and yoga. We also have weekly programs, week end and daily spa packages.

suite 20 apartments, comfortable and furnished to a very high standard with antique furniture, which accentuates the rustic and cosy country feel of the buildings, with beamed ceilings, exposed brickwork. Each apartment is individually furnished according to its name which reflect the members of a small country community, for example, Farrier, Blacksmith, Clergyman and so on.
The apartments vary in size each having a fireplace and private bathroom. They can accomodate from 2 to 8 people, they all have their own private entrance, which allows our guests to spend their holidays in total freedom.

From Florence: From the A1 motorway take the exit for Firenze Certosa. Immediately after the toll booth, at the roundabout take the expressway for Siena. After about 60km, you will reach Siena. Take the exit Siena Ovest-Porta San Marco and then turn left onto the SS73 Senese Aretina. After about 3km, you will reach the village of Costalpino, turn left for Grosseto and San Rocco a Pilli. After 2.5 km turn right for Barontoli and Carpineto. Follow this road for about 3km until you see the signs for Le Corte and Linari, follow this road and after a short distance you will find the Residence and the Health & Beauty Center.

Close to Siena, take the right hand lane for Firenze and then take the exit for Siena ovest-Porta San Marco and turn right onto the SS73 Senese Aretina. From Venice: Take the A4 for Padova, follow the directions for Ferrera and Bolonga A13, at Bologna take the A1 to Firenze and take the exit Firenze Certosa.
