This Matala beach hotel is a short walk from the sandy Komos Beach, the so-called Golden Beach and its ancient caverns, as well as the Red Beach with its famous red coloured sand.

Surrounded by greenery, this beautifully positioned Crete hotel is ideal for holidaymakers search for a relaxing and fun-packed vacation on the Island. The hotel caters especially for children, featuring an outdoor pool, play area, kindergarten as well as an indoor video games room.

Good food and wine is an essential part of any holiday, and the Matala Bay Hotel is not lacking in this respect. Matala Bay - Comment s'y rendre

From Heraklion Nikos Kazantzakis International Airport: taxis can be found outside the airport and it costs around €48,00 for the 60 km journey to the hotel. On the other hand, you can call the hotel to arrange a taxi in advance, and have the driver waiting for you when you arrive. In this case, the fare costs around €40,00. Alternatively, take a taxi or a city bus to Messara's bus station in Hanioporta, where buses run to Matala.
