Inn La Perciata - Siracusa

Attractive countryside location. Staff are friendly and hotel is well run. Nice swimming pool and public areas. Possible to have dinner at hotel with pleasant service but food a bit basic. If eating out nearest restaurants are several km away. Rooms 11-16 are in a block featured in the photo. They are tucked away and are probably pleasantly cool in the summer but in October we found them to be a bit dingy and the bathroom is cramped. We suspect there are better rooms in the main house.

First stay at Farm Home La Perciata. Need to be recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at la Perciata. Our rooms were in the former stables. They were quiet but a little bit dark. Better light would help also for reading in the evening. The bathrooms were small but ok. The surroundings were lovely.

Almost all aspects of our stay at La Perciata exceeded our expectations, including the v-e-r-y nice reception and treatment by the staff. Special thanks to Giovanna and Anthony, who went out of their ways to make our stay very pleasant. On a general note, La Perciata would benefit from introducing a fuller breakfast and lunch services. Since I am a diabetic, the sugar and carbohydrate heavy breakfast needed to be complemented/replaced by other food stuffs. The staff was very helpful in providing this service. Moreover, since we did not arrive by car, and therefore had limited options in terms of travelling/shopping in the surroundings, the support we received from the staff in arranging lunch at the farm (which they do not normally do) was highly appreciated. Even though most rooms are rather small (definitely not spacious), they are still adequate and clean, and the minimal size is made up for by the beautifully planned and spacious garden and pool area, and in no way detracts from the overall experience of the hotel. Another minor discrepancy was the fact that there are no longer horses at the farm as indicated on the website and in brochures. This was however communicated to us in our preceding e-mail correspondence and did not come as an unpleasant surprise after arrival. All in all, we had an unexpectedly pleasant stay at La Perciata and wholeheartedly recommend the place to anyone who wants a peaceful rest in a tranquil and beautiful spot.
