About Farm House Sant'Agostino

exterior Farm House Sant'Agostino exterior The S. Agostino farm is set in the Asso torrent valley, only 500 m. far from the medioeval village of S. Giovanni d’Asso. This is the centre of the Crete Senesi region, one of the most particular and characteristic of Tuscany.
Completely immersed in the countryside you have the possibility to admire the wonderful panorama and enjoy a small oasis of peace and tranquillity.

Battista, who owns the 11 hectare farm, has restructured the farm, after years of abandon, and started a new organic activity with absolutely no use of chemical products. The farm has, in fact been awarded an AIAB organic certificate and produces organic extra-virgin olive oil, honey, vegetables and pork meat.
There can be manifold possibilities of visiting unforgettable palces: the nearest is to discover first of all the Crete Senesi and the Orcia Valley, to visit Sienna, Chiusi or why not, Perugia in Umbira. It could be also worth visiting some of the Tuscany spa resort such as Chianciano Terme, Bagni S. Filippo and the charming Bagno Vignoni. Those who love all the delicous local specialities such as olive oil, sheep's milk cheese or wine, should not miss to visit Trequanda, Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano.

Inside the farm as well there are an ample garden fitted with garden furniture and leisure facilities, barbecue, swimming pool 10 by 5 metres, and big stones tabale where to eat under the trees shadow. Private car park is just few steps from the main house.
Agriturismo S. Agostino has got an agreement with l’Antica Querciolaia spa center in Rapolano Terme, which is 18 km? drive from us. Our guests can have a discount both on the swimming pool ticket and on all the spa treatments.
For those who love sport and natural pursuits it’s easy to find paths for trekking, mountain-biking and walking in the grounds of the farm. Horse riding is also available a few km away from S. Agostino.

Farm House Sant'Agostino guest room double room Our flats are designed and decorated so as to let our guests feel and live the sensations of country life. Flats can host 2 to 4 or 6 people, double rooms with bathroom are also available. Extra beds can be added on request. Each apartment has self-catering kitchen, dishwasher, fireplace or wood stove, tv and bathrooms. 1 bathroom for 2/4 sleeps apartment, 3 bathrooms for 6 sleeps apartment.

Lovely farm house,lovely country scen, and about all, lovely owners. It is really what we were dreaming about Tuscana. If I had chance , I would like to go back again!

As an advertised bed and breakfast, my wife and I were very disappointed to not be offered breakfast in the morning. The overall attitude of the owner was nonchalant and carefree towards guests. We did not feel welcomed at all. The location was a bit hard to find but not too terrible. The town was small and relaxing, not offering a ton to do or see. However, it was definitely in the heart of Tuscany which was extremely convenient.

This was our first visit to San Giovanni d'Asso and I can truly say that this was our most favoured property out of the five we stayed in during our 7 day tour of Italy. The views are magnificent, it is tranquil, relaxing, the small swimming pool is ideal. If there is a downside it is that there is no air conditioning and yes, it was hot!!! Also there should be detailed directions provided on the website on how to access the property as it is down a long side lane that has no sign up showing the name of the farm. It does show though Agricultural Tourism on the sign. You can also buy organic vegetables from the farmer direct, red onions, new potatoes etc. You self cater here, but the kitchen is excellent although the fridge couldn't cope with the heat. The only bit of the fridge that keeps anything cold is the ice box area (which can fit about 6 bottles of water in it) the rest of the fridge doesn't get cold at all so not good storage if you need something to be cold. Absolutely lovely place. Owners don't speak English so take your guidebook along as we did!

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. The price includes water, gas, electricity, wood for fire place and stoves.
The price does not include heating, only if used (10,00 € per day per room, 15 € per day per apartment) and final cleaning (35,00 € for apartment only, for 3 nights stay or more).
