Farm House Poderi Arcangelo - San Gimignano

Simply over-rated agriturismo. Welcome and service were very bad and even staff was rude. The room (suite) we had didn't resemble to the pictures on the internet and was not properly clean. They offer breakfast until 10am however when we arrived at 9:45am almost everything was removed and staff started shouting on us and refused to bring back food. They force you to check-out very early 10:30am as they stop working between 11:30am and 6pm. Area is full of amazing welcoming agriturismos, nevertheless, this one is certainly not one of them. It certainly more resembles to an average pension.

Good apartement on nice property in scenic landscape; restaurants and supermarkets in near-by Certaldo (3 km) available; in 2nd half of march heating required at extra costs

Location is fantastic. Also breakfast is rich and good. We were not happy of the dinner that one night we decided to have there: the service and the food was absolutely poor respect to the price.

This was a great location to relax, see many beautiful medieval cities, enjoy excellent wine and get a taste of local cuisine. Breakfast was filling and a great time to meet other travelers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Directions should read (from San Gimignano follow signs to Certaldo. Entrance is on right 8 KM outside of San G). No "common areas" for guests other than outside. Dining room never used for guests during our 3 nights at the property; they placed us outside or in the enclosed patio. Breakfasts were minimal and disappointing quality. Moderately priced dinners were modest and short on vegetables. Wine for purchase produced on site was good and very reasonably priced; good value. **Please note: Large scorpion found on inside wall!! Surroundings are beautiful.

Very lovely place on the top of a hill. Basically all Tuscan highlights can be discovered from there, a car is a must though. We'll go there again, every for just a longer weekend stay.

We had a short but enjoyable stay at Poderi Archangelo. The setting is beautiful, the accomodations wervery nice as was the staff. It is convenient to San Giminano and Sienna. I recommend it highly.

Distance quoted on website to San Gimignano was misleading. This farmhouse is not just a few km from town. It's approx a 15-20 min drive.

SPECTACULAR VIEW OF THE VALLEY,VERY NEAR THE TRAIN TO FLORENCE AND SIENA.THE APARTMENT WAS A BETTER VALUE.

This is a wonderful refuge that one could easily stay in a week or more. We came for only a night and had a fair,but good room for my husband and I and two teenagers. However, there are wonderful like suites that one can take advantage. Rent by the week and explore Tuscany and save even more. Fabulous breakfasts and dinners. The wines are terrific too. And, my daughters wouldn't forgive me if I didn't mention the infinity pool. First class establishment.

Les indications de situation rendent l'accès à l'établissement plus que problématique. Mais cela mis à part, Podere Archangelo est une trés bonne maison.

This was our favorite place that we stayed at in Italy. The staff was awesome. We stayed for dinner tha evening and it was the best meal that we had during our trip. We felt as if we were staying at a relatives house. The scenery was breathtaking as well. We would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful stay in Toscana which I recommand to anybody who wants to spend great time in Italy. However, be careful of the dinner proposed ; it's good but it's more expensive than in restaurant. And here, everybody eats at the same time together at the same table and its 's very quick...

Great location. Main hotel very nice but still renovation works being carried out. Excellent pool with views over Tuscan countryside. No English spoken or credit cards accepted. Evening meal not good value and breakfast limited in choice. Would go again, but eat out, because location on hilltop spectacular. However, would research other hotels before booking.
