Inn Il Girasole - Ulignano, San Gimignano

Staying at Girasole was the best place I stayed during two weeks of traveling all over Italy. The proprietor speaks very good English, she's extremely personable and accommodating, and although we weren't able to rent bikes to get to San Gimignano as we hoped, she guided us to a great restaurant in town that gave us an excellent discount. She also gave us a complimentary bottle of wine from her vineyard at the end! Cute black lab dog there too. DEFINITELY recommend and would love to come back!

It is a pleasure to have a walk through the calm vines, after that to have a bath in the fresh swimmingpool watching the beautiful shadow of San Gimignano's towers far away. This is a great village to visit at different times in the day, nights there are special. The situation of this house is good becouse it is in the center of the Toscana. From there on you can travel everywhere in one day to do different touristic tours.

The staff was very welcoming. The setting was beautiful. The price was great. The room was large with the addition of a kitchen and good size bathroom. This was our first time in Italy. The bed was very hard and it was expensive to a load of laundry (but handy to have laundry service available). The location is very convenient to San Gimignano and other Tuscan towns. Stella, the owner can speak some english and is helpful. The location is private and quiet and very relaxing. We would go back here.

Great place to stay! Clean, spacious rooms, clean pool, nice garden, great view and friendly owners. Definitely would recommend it to others who come by car and like to combine relaxing at the pool with city trips. It is very close to San Gimignano (3 minutes by car) and centrally located in Tuscany. Within an hour you are in nice cities as Sienna, Florence, Volterra, etc.

Perfect place for relaxation. Beside the swimming pool among the endless vineyards while seeing the old city of San Gimignano in the horizon is the Perfect location ever! Furthermore, Stella is an English speaker (for a change) and very kind and the apartments are beautiful and very well equipped. Perfect holiday is guarantied!

Our stay there has been great. Even if you want to visit all the main cities of Tuscany or you prefer to have a rest. I recommend you to go by car, but it really worths. It's such a peaceful place, with gorgeous landscapes and a nice family. You definitely feel like if you were at home.
