Farm House Il Pezzatino - Rufina

Alesandra welcomed us and made us feel like we were part of her family. We feel like our stay at Il Pezzatino was the best part of our two week trip to Europe. We definetly plan to return with friends and family!

Lovely setting and wonderful hostess. It is on a very busy road so that it is noisy for sleeping at night.

L'agriturismo si trova inserito dentro un azienda agricola, perfettamente tenuto e gestito dalla cortesissima Sig.ra Alessandra che, per chi lo desidera, ha sempre un attenzione in più (anniversari, compleanni, cenette). L'unica piccolissima nota che potremmo fare è la strada statale ai piedi della collinetta deove sorge l'agriturismo che si sente un po' il giorno perchè trafficata, ma niente di che... assolutamente sopportabile!

This is a beautiful B&B! For once, there were no unforeseen surprises, just a beautiful place with beautiful views and a lovely pool. Pictures on the website are accurate. Ask for one of the two rooms on the front, the view is lovely. The pool and parking are down a bit of a hill, so those with mobility issues should know the property is not flat. About 2 km to lots of free parking at Rufina train station, 20 minutes train into Florence, this is also a fine base for driving the Chianti road. Try the restaurant on the far side of Rufina from Il Pezzatino, marked only "Albergo" and "Ristorante" on green (I think!) awning: great salad and grilled meats, reasonably priced.

Fantastic place and very warm welcome. SS67 road is one of the most picturesque roads we ever took. Don't use your navigator, just follow hotel' instructions. We would love to be back to that great place one day again!

This was an exceptional place to stay. The pool was amazing. The nice touch was the wine tasting and tour of the winerooms. Beautiful scenery and room gorgeous. The bed was too small for two teenage boys though and that was a bit uncomfortable for them.

We really enjoyed our stay at Il Pezzatino with Alessandra as our hostess. It was a special place in the hills of Tuscany, with beautiful surrounding vineyards and a very nice pool. She made it memorable with a truly Tuscan multi-course dinner our last night, complete with the vineyard's own wine and olive oil. My only suggestion would be to plan on renting a car to get to/from Florence or the train station, and also to tour the surrounding rural area.
