Inn Tenuta Santomè - Roncade, Treviso

Although the largest property we stayed in during our vacation, we were pleasantly surprised to find it one of our favorites. Our host, William, brought us chilled Prosecco from the winery when we arrived. He even provided lovely stemmed glasses for our use. One evening he took the two of us on a private tour of the winery. We mentioned one day that the person in the next room had smoked and the smell was not pleasant. The response was immediate. That particular room was aired for two days and not rented out. They were most apologetic as this is a non-smoking property. Breakfast was the finest we had. You could fill up for the day in that one meal! One of the most impressive things is that this entire vineyard and b and b is "off the grid" energy wise. There are nearly 900 solar panels on the roof - we were blown away by this set up. These folks are doing a wonderful job of making wine and also providing a first rate place to stay while tending to Mother Earth in the process. We would love to have had more time there. Beautiful grounds and even a welcoming dog. I would highly recommend this property to any traveler...........

The Tenuta Santome B&B is located on a family owned and operated winery about a hour and a half from Venice. The rooms are lovely, spacious, airy, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was excellent - with freshly made capuccino, fresh squeezed OJ and croissants to die for, along with other sweet and savory breakfast items. We thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming hospitality offered by the family and had a fantastic wine tasting experience. This was the best accomodation we stayed at during our 3 weeks in Germany, Italy and Austria.

We spent in this beautiful B&B the last days of 2007. It was open since a few weeks so everything was new and all the rooms and the public spaces are very beautiful with an excellent style. Service is perfect, the owners, a young enthusiastic couple (and their wonderful baby) treated us like "friends" more than like clients. They were always very kind with us suggesting good restaurants (the B&B offers only breakfast) and inviting us to taste the wine they produce. Breakfast in also very good with cookies prepared by the female owner. Position is quite good, you can reach Treviso in 15-20 minutes and Venice in two ways: by car in 30-40 minutes or by train (not so many trains, you'd better be informed before approaching the station of "Quarto d'Altino", about 4-5 Kms far). Anyway, it is necessary to have a car. We suggest to choose this accomodation as it is one of the best we ever stayed in. Enjoy!
