Come and enjoy the charm of rural Italy!

This is a real, authentic agriturismo. A self-sufficient Organic Farm, well-served by buses and trains, right between Rome and Naples (around 2 hours from both cities) in Abruzzi National Park - the oldest national park in Italy. The park is one of the most important and beautiful parks in the whole of Europe - unique endangered species can be found there such as marsicam bears, wolves, lynx, and golden eagles. We are located on a 12 acre farm that includes a forest, vineyard, olive grove, and meadows for pasture.

On the farm we have many animals including goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, rabbits, bees, dogs and a beautiful donkey - the mascot of the farm, everybody gets to love her. We produce olive oil, wine, and honey. We grow a variety of vegetables and fruits that guests are welcome to pick and eat for free. Our meals are home-made, traditional, and delicious. We often make handmade pasta, pizza, pies, and cakes for our guests to enjoy.

We arrange exciting activities such as hiking in Abruzzi National Park, horseback riding, Italian cooking courses, Italian language classes, Para-gliding, yoga, visit to the cheese making shepherd, searching for mushrooms, asparagus, or truffles with our dogs.

In our farm you will find a relaxing and nice atmosphere, you will be able to take a break from the chaotic and touristy cities and immerse yourself in the Italian countryside.

We have a large park along the creek where people can spend their time reading or relaxing. There are also beautiful trails around the farm where you can hike on your own. The town of Sora is an easy 40 minute walk from the farm where you can walk along the main street, sample real Italian gelato, visit the many shops, bars, and restaurants, or walk up to an old castle.

We look forward to seeing you at the little farm on the foot of the mountain!

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in July - a fantastic break! Our en-suite bedroom led directly on to a patio where we sat and relaxed in the sun. Beyond that there was an orchard and vegetable patch. You were allowed to pick any fruits or vegetables for free. The farm, a working farm with animals, is surrounded by beautiful mountains. The setting is idyllic. Antonio looks after his guests very well and does an introductory tour of the farm on arrival. He is always available to give information about what to do or visit. His father works on the farm. It is totally self-sufficient and his mother cooks the evening meal using produce from the farm. We ate here every night and it costs only 9 euros for 2 courses including some white wine (also made on the farm). Antonio has students of various nationalities helping him at Farmstay, and they wait on you at dinner time and help prepare guest rooms, etc. We had a car so we could visit the National Park. We also enjoyed walking locally to Sora on market day and to Sora Castle, and we also hiked to the waterfall. The activity which my wife enjoyed most was the walk to the cheese-making shepherd at 6a.m in the morning. It was like going back in time! We really recommend Farmstay to anyone, young or old. It's a lovely place with friendly people.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. The farm itself is surrounded by beautiful mountains and quaint buildings. Let me stress that you are going to a working farm, complete with livestock, not a white-glove 5 star hotel with gourmet food. If this doesn't sound like something you'd like, go elsewhere. However, if you'd like to experience Italian farm life, this is the place. When we arrived at the farm we were shown to our room (#1, double ensuite with attached bathroom). The room was large and bright. The furnishings were basic but comfortable. We ate all of our meals at the farm. Breakfast, which consisted of homemade bread with jelly and coffee, was included. The cost for lunch (pasta) was 4 Euros, and 7 Euros for pasta, salad, and a slice of potato and egg omelet. A typical dinner (9 Euros) consists of lentil soup, rabbit, sauteed eggplant, and salad. Although the food is basic, Maria takes pride in its preparation. There are many activities including riding, hiking, and cooking lessons. If the visit to the goat shepherd is available, don't miss it. You'll see milk made into cheese the same way it's been done for 100s of years. Perhaps the best activity of all is just relaxing! To summarize, to experience Italian farm life, I surely recommend Italy farm stay.
