exterior On a fascinating hill, between the views of the splendid Umbrian countryside surrounding the Trasimeno Lake, we find the farmhouses “I Frati” (The Friars), which can offer you a quiet and friendly atmosphere.

This building complex is part of a larger property: a big farm of more than 210 ha, ran with modern technologies and specialized in high quality products (wine, oil, cereals, fruits, etc). All farm products are available to the guests.

The agricultural activities are conducted in completely restored farmhouses and in a former convent structure (The Cloister “Il Convento”) which, thanks to the high standard of quality of the services, stands out as the best farm holidays offer.

Il Convento is situated on the southern side of the Trasimeno lake (about 8 km), from which one can enjoy a beautiful sight of the lake and the mountains. Towards the end of the summer of 2004, the restoration works of the whole complex were finished.

apartment Il Convento is situated on the southern side of the Trasimeno lake (about 8 km), from which one can enjoy a beautiful sight of the lake and the mountains. Towards the end of the summer of 2004, the restoration works of the whole complex were finished.

The complex comprises of sumptuously seven furnished flats - reached via an internal lift, areas for congresses and banquets, parking lot, swimming pool (9x16) with hydromassage, barbecue and a park through which one can walk along, taking the same famous routes of the friars.

Few kms far and inside the private property there are also two luxury independent villas composed of two flats each with private pool and all the conforts.

All the accomodations are completely renovated situated in the area of the Trasimeno Lake and surrounded by vast green spaces to protect the privacy of all the guests, independent, with central heating.

The indoors are elegantly decorated and further enhanced by antiques and period furniture to keep the flavour of the old country houses.

How to reach Farmhouse I Frati

By car
From the south and the centre of Italy: Take the exit Chiusi-Chianciano, until you reach Chiusi and then Castiglione del Lago. Having passed Moiano, continue for about 1 Km until the detour for Paciano.

From the north: Take the exit to Valdichiana towards Castiglione del Lago. The deviation to Paciano is 5 Km. away.

Once in Paciano keep the walls of the town on your left side and go up. At about one km from the end of the town you'll find the farm house on your right.
