The owner/operator is a entrepreneurial young man who is actively seeking to increase business to his relatively new B&B. He is doing a wonderful job. When we arrived he came and met us at a local church parking area and guided to his place. The parking is provided on his property. The building you stay in is a separate building from his own residence. It contains some very old stones yet has been remodeled to be contemporary and very comfortable. The location is rural and very peaceful and quiet. The room is excellent with antiques that are in good shape. The room is spacious and the common area as well. The bathroom is in the room and private. The owner provided recommendations to a nearby eating place for dinner which turned out to be a very memorable experience in authentic Italian cuisine. We needed internet and so he let us use his own computer to check email. Breakfast was standard European breakfast fare and was adequate and delicious. The only deficiency in the Venere.com listing for this site is lack of a map showing the location. Our GPS couldn't locate it. We had to call the operator/owner to get directions which he helpfully offered to meet us and drive us in. We highly recommend this B&B.

IL BORGHETTO IS NOT THE EASIEST B&B TO FIND AND WOULD NOT RECCOMEND STAYING WITHOUT A CAR. THE EASIEST WAY IS TO GET NEAR TO MONTE FALCO OR TREVI AND PHONE THE B&B. THEY WILL GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS MEET YOU AND THEN TAKE YOU TO THEIR HOUSE. AFTER ARRIVING YOUR TROUBLES ARE OVER. THE ROOMS ARE IMMACULATE, PROBABLY THE BEST WELCOME YOU WILL GET ANYWHERE ENGLISH IS SPOKEN AND THE HELP GIVEN TO SEE THE BEST PLACES IN UMBRIA IS GREAT. BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED AND IS AS MUCH AS YOU NEED FOR A DAY OUT EXPLORING THIS LOVELY REGION OF ITALY. IF WE GET CHANCE TO GO BACK TO ITALY WE WILL DEFINITELY STAY AT IL BORGHETTO

Our stay at Il Borghetto was one of the most enjoyable of a 9 week trip to Europe. The hospitality of Emanele and his family was such that we left feeling more like friends than visitors! If you're looking for the real essence of Umbria you could not find a better place to stay. We would highly recommend this B&B to anybody looking for holiday accommodation in the Montefalco vicinity.

This was our second trip to Italy. We fell in love with this B&B and the owners and family. I can not say enough good things about Emanuele and his beautiful B&B, family and home. Thank you so much for listing this establishment.

The property is lovely--a quiet rural setting. Emanuelle and his father took very good care of us. He recommended a nice restaurant in town and made a reservation for us. The breakfast was wonderful. Our only criticism was lack of a sign. We had to go to the local bar and the owner took us to Il Borghetto.

Very welcomming, great location. Emanuuele was always on hand and willing to help. Made sure we got a good local restaraunt on our first night. Ok to find, the location is at Madonna della Stella near San Lucca. Payment in cash preferred, there is a cash point quite close.

Our stay here was probably one of the most memorable of our 30 day tour of Italy. Emanuelle and his Family were very gracious hosts and went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. The room and the surroundings were excellent. Emanuelle took us to a local cantina for some wine tasting and showed us where some of the best local places to eat. Great location for exploring the Umbria region- Orvieto, Spoleto, Todi, Assisi, Deruta Perugia, the many hilltop villages and Carsulae, the ancient Roman village. The Il Borghetto is a fantastic place to stay and the experience was awesome.

Beautiful area to discover. We had a very warm and friendly welcome, and we were treated as 'part of the family'. Nothing was too much trouble. As English visitors we appreciated the offer of a cup of tea/coffee in the evening. Maybe 'self service' tea/coffee facilities in the property somewhere could be provided for guests. Thank you Emanuele and family for such a nice stay.

We had a "perfect" stay at this B&B. The family was so gracious and friendly, the room was spotless and nicely decorated, and the quiet surroundings of the countryside was peaceful and picturesque. We would definitely stay here again!

Room Details
Rooms and interiors :The rooms, wide and inviting, where you can perceive a warm feeling of comfort, are finely furnished and respectful of the old time with wrought-iron beds and accessories in solid wood of poor art.
Each room is equipped with modern toilet facilities.
In the structure there is a lot of common space which offers a cosy and refined atmosphere, to be enjoyed togheter with friends, talking, playing or reading.
Such a space, as well as the dining-room, keeps the architectural peculiarity of farm-houses, with ceilings in beams and thin bricks, arches in original bricks, doors in solid wood, and pieces of period furniture. So, guests can go back to the past, though surrounded by all the indefeasible comforts of the present world, such as complimentary wireless Internet access.
