Tenuta Cavallini - Ss 74 Km 23,8 - Manciano
877-662-6988The Quercia Rossa is a nice country house overlooking the Tuscan hills, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and a beautiful garden. Most of the furniture comes from the Tuscan villa of the English traveller, Augusta Belloc, who came to Italy on the eve of World War One. Its interiors have been refurbished in the classical Tuscan style maintaining the original Neo-Rennaissance and exotic furnishings and feature several contemporary art works.
Guests have access to the communal rooms which are also suitable for meetings and workshops.

A lovely and quiet surrounding, and decor that was a great combination of rustic versus modern, antique versus elegant. Dinner there was lovely, though hot dishes tended to cool down a bit too much in the intervening time between serving and eating. A better quality of wine option would have been appreciated. However, the general service and attention to quality really was excellent and the staff and owners provide excellent and warm service.

This was our first visit to Tuscany, therefore our first visit to Quercia Rossa. We were two mature couples and all were delighted with the beautifully furnished bedrooms, and views over the countryside. Breakfast included home made produce in ample quantities, all very tasty. Dinner consisted of a buffet with varying local dishes. It was a good experience for all the guests to sit at the large table for dinner, on our occasion, people from Italy and Holland. Coffee with Liquer was served on the terrace, a perfect touch to finish the evening.

The hotel was great a little far from the main roads but signs helped a lot to find it. We really enjoy staying at this B&B. We hoped stayed longer. The view the room the food was great. I was surprised by the charged of dinner ($26/person) which I was not aware until I checked out. The owner was very help full when I asked him couple questions about my next destination (Rome). He took the time to call the car rental for directions and to see if it was opened.

I suppose that Quercia Rossa is set in one of the most gorgeous valleys of Tuscany: we were there for that panorama! This B&B has absolute charm and character, in the heart of the Maremma region on Tuscany and Lazio border. We stayed in Double on the top floor: large, quiet room, breezy windows, and wonderful large impeccably clean ensuite bath, (good plumbing, plenty of hot water and with some unusual features, as the ancient stone sink for example in the Indigo room), comfortable bed, tv, dvd player, minibar (with daily re-stock of complimentary beverages) and window screens (the views are breathtaking and so peaceful!). Breakfast was always great with excellent fresh coffee and a good selection of breads, pastries, fruit, ham and cheeses. And satisfied us until dinner! It’s tucked away from the main town (Manciano, about 15 min) but it has easy access to the main roads leading to Montemerano, Saturnia (hot springs and natural cascades, don’t miss it!), Pitigliano, Sovana and Sorano, etc. The hosts, Paulo and Alex, offered superior hospitality and english spoken fluently. They helped us in planning the trip to Siena with pre booked tickets for the Accademia Chigiana and the same for the Saturnia’s Thermal baths when we had the tickets at the reception for a less price. Highly recommended!

The property on which the building was located was lovely and it overlooked a lovely valley. However, the room was not very clean and the stone sink in the bathroom is awful. It looks very dirty and uninviting to use. It should be removed and a sink that can be cleaned properly put in its place. One of the bathroom lights didn't work and the lighting in the bedroom area was not good, even though there were several fixtures in the room. The breakfast was good unless you were the last to arrive. The food was put out and never replenished as the guests came and left. We didn't eat dinner so can't comment on that. The facility is many miles from the nearest town and not at all convenient. The roads leading to the facility are washed in several areas and contain huge ruts that must be avoided in order not to damage the undercarriage of the car.

The views from the room were magnificent! The property owners, Paulo and Alex made our stay enjoyable. The breakfast is good and we had an excellent dinner prepared by the owners. Would definately stay here again and would recommend to others.

This place is impossible to find, make sure to call for help. We wasted hours looking. Once you are taken to the Farm House, the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Our room had a very nice bed and breakfast was great. On the downside our room smelled like sewer after we flushed the toilet and there were quite a few dead bugs around. The room felt as though it hadn't been used in a while and was very cold.
