Inn Fabbrica di San Martino - Lucca

Excellent stay. We enjojed the location and the surroundings. The room is not a single room but an apartment with a very nice living room and kitchen. The breakfast is delicoius.

We stayed 3 nights in July and visited Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre and Florence. Some difficulty to find the house (street not in GPS), but a phone call with Guiseppe solved that right away. Giovanna gave us a very warm welcome and showed us around and had lots of tips on restaurants, Lucca and Toscania. We slept on the top floor of the house with a beautiful overview over the valley of Lucca and the vineyard. Plenty of space in the rooms. The interior is full of antique furniture, paintings, books and all. Clean new bathroom. In the morning Giovanna and Guiseppe put an absolutely delicious breakfast on the front terrace. Wonderful to enjoy this under the porch in the sun with a wide view over the valley. The house could use some renovation. The entire side wall has been renovated already. Everything around the house, the vineyard, olive grove, swimming pool, the shop, ... is well maintained. Very peaceful and quiet too. Perfect end of the day - swim/lay beside the swimming pool, midst the grapes and olives. A real nice place to stay, charming, tranquil, authentic and with the friendliest people ever.
