Fattoria il Milione - Galluzzo, Florence

A pleasant surprise in our travel and a place to return to (which in fact we did). Great place to stay when visiting Florence with the car (without car probably a bit off the main roads). This place met and exceeded my expectations, positivelly, in all respects.

The perfect place for those who love peace and Tuscan landscapes.

Consider this hotel as the perfect place to disconnect from the real world as it has no telephones in the rooms and no internet service at all. You can't stay at this hotel if you don't have a car. Getting to the place was a little hard but with a map and good directions it's not too bad. The hotel room is more like a chateau or villa retreat type of deal. It has it's own kitchen, living room, big bathroom and big bedroom. We stayed here for 2 days. The surrounding areas are beautiful and I only wish we had more time to enjoy all the ammenities. The breakfast is good but it is not included in the room rate. It takes about 10 minutes from the hotel to get to the historic area of Florence. It works out better to leave your car on a bus stop and take the bus to the city as city parking can be expensive and scarce, we left our car at the Piazzale Michelangelo (the most beautiful panoramic view of Florence can be seen from here). Florence was our favorite destination in Italy

Fattoria il Milione is simply an outstanding place to be for visiting Toscana, close to Firenze and most of points of interests and historical towns to visit (Pisa, Siena, Lucqua, Arrezo, Viaregio etc...)and country side to discover. This is really staying in a very quiet place at proximity of Firenze (20 minutes driving). The building located in a field of olive trees is not so easy to access without a car GPS but as soon as you land in the property it tells you that you were right to make a reservation there. You will not be disappointed, select the place.

You need a car to stay at this hotel.

Its an amazing place to stay. Inspirating local atmosphere with lovely people. To see closer surroundings dont forget to rent a car.:)

Excellent! The photos don't do justice to the beautiful surroundings, rooms, vast yard and public areas - they are much more (see added photos). The double bedroom we stayed in was cozy, warm, well furnished, great breakfast - well worth its price (8 euro).There is also a well equipped hidden kitchenette, separated from the sleeping area so cooking doesn't smell. The outside scenery of Florence from above is priceless. Parking downhill near the "via Sense 20" bus station and entering the city center by bus (#36/37) saved time, parking and headaches. We stayed for 1 night only, but would definitely come back for more.

Just a great accomodation. Very close to Florence but it feels like a million miles. From our windows, we could see the top of the Duomo. Spacious apartment. Highly recommend the Fattoria!

Beautiful place to stay, even if it is a little lacking in upkeep. Our room was a small cottage out in the grove. It was private, spacious, and had it's own patio with a spectacular view of Florence and the Duomo in the distance. The breakfast (not included in the price of the room) was more than adequate with great coffee, pastries, and even a little ham. The breakfast room, like the rest of the facility is very pretty. Our only complaint would be that our little cottage had a little bit of a bug problem. Not a huge concern for us, but we did spend some time each night upon returning to the room cleaning out the spiders, centipedes, and mosquitos from the place before we could relax and go to sleep. Also, the pool and gym facilities were a bit run down. Possibly the result of being there at a busy time for the vineyard. Luckily, the beauty of the place made up for the lack of upkeep and we left with a very positive feeling about our stay there. I would highly recommend having a car.

Wunderschöne Zimmer, excellenter Service !!! 15 Minuten bis Florenz Innenstadt, 10 Minuten bis zur Autostrada del Sole. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als super. Wir hatten dort einen wunderschönen Urlaub. Sehr, sehr empfehlenswert.

We stayed two nights, and it was probably our favorite stop on our vacation. The Location is breath taking! The restaurant is a hike up teh hill, but is wonderful.

I thought this Farmhouse was great, my husband and I spent Veteran's Day weekend there, we flew into Pisa rented a car and drove to Florence it is about an hour drive. The driving was not so bad we got lost finding the the place up the winding hills but we made it okay. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment called Casa de Giglio the room was very warm and lots of hot water. Breakfast was 7 euro each which consisted of cheese, bread, lunch meat, coffee cake and they make great cappucinos. The do serve dinner but it is outside the gate a very short walk from the Farmhouse. We didn't know it was there so we can't tell you if it was good or not. We only had 2 nights and 1 day in Tuscany, we spent our first day in Florence which is only 2 km, the second day in Siena about 45 minutes from the Farmhouse, it was a nice drive. The last day when we spent about 3 hours in Pisa. We had great weather all 3 days with no rain. I would go back and recommend this place to friends and family members.

Everything was perfect, except the traffic in the mornings on the way to Florence (30-40 min.)

Great place to be in Florence & if yo want to travel to differents places of the Toscana is the Best place to be. If I return to Florence I will make my reservation in Fattoria Il Millione You need a car to be in Fattoria .

Bring bug spray and prepare to relax.

Siamo stati bene, ma la camera non corrispondeva affatto alle fotografie proposte su internet. A parte questo è stata una vacanza fantastica.

Very happy with the accomodations. I would recommend to anyone seeking solitude outside the city.

Angela was very welcoming, and booked a meal at a local restaurant for us as the accommodation no longer did evening meals. Location at the top of a hill, but not far from Florence and easy to reach from the Certosa motorway exit. Wonderful situation and views

The location was up on a hill overlooking beautiful scenery. The "villa" was a lovely place with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large kitchen area. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Loved it.

It's a great place. The rooms are really comfortable, the landscape is amazing, and the people there are really kind. We loved the hotel and its surroundings. We are looking forward to going back. P.S. It's necessary to rent a car before going to the hotel, otherwise,it's a bit difficult to go to town.

We had no complaints whatsoever about the property, service, etc. On the contrary the fattoria is a wonderful place and I would highly recommend it. My only recommendations would be to have your own car and to plan on staying several days (because you probably won't want to leave once you get there).

La "ferme" est très sympathique avec un cadre très agréable. Elle est située sur les hauteurs de Florence, la vue est imprenable. La voiture est indispensable il faut donc prévoir de se garer à Florence soit dans un parking soit dans une rue un peu excentrée. NB: pour les phobiques, il y a 2 bergers allemands très gentils.
