our only gripe the apartment had no self catering facilities, apart from this our host serafino was absolutely brilliant, everything else about the place is as mentioned,unspoilt, relaxing beautiful area, would recommend all travelling from the uk to pre book car hire from lamezia airport.

Our stay at Torre del Golfo was an experience heightened by the graciousness of the family. They provided for us, not only first rate accomodation with wonderful breakfast, but something else that is rarely experienced ... an engaging relationship with the land, people and history of this region of Calabria. Nino, Lala, Franco and Anne, have a knowledge that all can benefit from and it was our good fortune to spend time with them to learn as much as we did. Thank you to the Colosimo family!!! We had a great time whilst at Torre del Golfo. The welcome was warm and the assistance we got from the owner and his parents was beyond all expectations - it allowed us to see the real people and customs, which we would not have managed at all without their help - it was invaluable, and such nice people. We will certainly return when we can.

Very pleasant family. especially Franco & Ann. Accomodation is good and surrounding are rural. Tricky to find though!

For real Italy and real hospitality this is the place. And if you are really lucky and meet Franco and his wife Ann and have them share their knowledge of the area and its history, that is priceless. All thumbs up.

What a pleasant, lovely place to stay! This area of Italy is lovely, I only wish we had more time to enjoy it. When we return, we will definitely stay at Torre de Golfo. Extremely warm people who go out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. Excellent breakfast also. A bit hard to find the turn off, turn off the main road at mile post 204 and follow directions from the map.

This place is truly wonderful. We went seeking a different Italian experience and that is exactly what we got. The hospitality was second to none, molto fantastico!!! I will recommend this place to anyone I know travelling to Calabria.

From the time we arrived at the property, we felt like family. We recommend this property to all who want Great Value for the price. The owners are direct decendents of the founders of the surrounding villages and can provide great history and enhance visitors understanding. The farm has been in the owners family for 400 years as we understand it, the property is also on the beach. Close to town with easy access. Very modern facility and well equipped. We will surely return.
