Inn Terre dei Cavalieri - Cortona

If you have a car this is a wonderful place to stay on the border of Tuscany and Umbria. Spacious rooms; lovely staff. Breakfasts are excellent, and the occasional special dinners are worth reserving. Only complaint: website instructions are not really clear. Even our GPS couldn't find it! But if you can locate the hospital, you are only a kilometer away.

Excellent, located in the countryside, not many restaurant options nearby. Very good for a peaceful retreat.

For us, who live in Rome, the hotel was a great solution. We could be in the busy hillside town of Cortona by day and night but return to the hotel for the quietness of the Italian countryside and a walk on empty roads in the morning. A beautifully restored property set amongst active farms. I can only imagine that in late summer when the sunflowers are chasing the sun it must be stunning.

Excellent accomodation. Quiet suroundings and friendly staff. Staff is flexible and always willing to help. Would be even better when environment was taken into account. - Lights in rooms are not energy friendly. - Towels are changed every day (and no option to indicate otherwise)

This hotel was a real find. The farm setting is stunning while the rooms are spacious and well decorated. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful while the quality of the breakfasts and dinners was excellent. Location was somewhat remote from Cortona but easily accessible by car. Would definitely return.

We picked this hotel for the experience of farm stay living and we weren't disapointed. Le Terre Dei Cavalieri is a beautifully restored property with all the warmth of a farm stay. The property has been restored and is most welcoming, the food and the buffet breakfast great. We loved being able to sit out by the pool and hear nothing but the birds and the occassional tractor working the fields in the distance. A really peaceful and quiet place all within an easy drive to Cortona, approx 5-10 minutes. Could imagine myself living there, my type of place.

This is our second visit to hotel Terre dei Cavalieri.It was another great experience-the hospitality and friendship were second to none and we were made to feel most welcome. Despite the language barrier Paulio and his wife made great effort to communicate. Serena in the office was charming and always most helpful.We plan to return again.

Located outside of towns,very peaceful and with scenic view. However it is really hard to find with the direction provide on website, best to check out the map/route online independently.

Very nice, peaceful B&B as our stay in Italy. I would like to recommend to those stay in Cortona. However, it's a little difficult to reach this house without car, and the map on the web-site is not very clear to identify its location. But you can find the sign by the road easily.

It is a bit difficult to find this location, as our car-navigator could not identify the place. Surrounded by sun-flower fields, and perfectly tranquil. The owner couple is charming and kind, and will welcome you there!

An exceptionally beautiful, serene, unique experience. Directions to hotel can be made more explicit by indicating how many kms. from highway exits and various turns to next signpost or turn.

This was hands down the nicest place we stayed in all of Italy. Super clean, well decorated, spacious, comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, and more charm than any room I have ever stayed in. Helpful and friendly staff. The quietness of staying in the country was a welcome treat. Excellent location to visit Cortona, Arezzo, Siena and many other towns. Directions are odd but will get you to the farmhouse.

They had the best breakfast service we had during two separate trips to Italy in the last two years. The qualifty of the food was splendid, the quantity was more than we could eat, and the service was superb. The owners were gracious and welcoming. The manager, Fabiola, was professional, kind, courteous, friendly, helpful--all, in all, she was so good that we have invited her and her family to come visit us, and we hope that they can! We had trouble locating the place, but Fabiola came and got us and guided us there. She did everything possible to make our stay pleasant, and she succeeded. The restored farmhouse was totally renovated, new, fresh, clean, comfortable, and it had a very fine mattress for sleeping. The location is central for Florence, Arezzo, Siena, DeRuta, Orvieto, Assi, and Montepulciano.

A superb place to stay. The welcome and service from staff was the friendliest we experienced in Italy. The apartment was huge with fantastic bathrooms. We will definitely be back.
