Inn Il Pornelleto - Cetona

We found the place easily and when we arrived we received a warm welcome by Sylvia who is the owner. The room we got was just as if it was taken from a movie, it was amazing. Sylvia was very kind and helpful and our trip got better because of her suggestions and the extra things we asked for. The surrounding area was beautiful and we walked around the vineyard and olive trees. Il Pornelleto is highly recommended and Sylvia is the best! (close the window at night though because there are mosquitoes. The horse riding is 3 km away and there were no cooking lessons available).

Il Pornelleto was a great place for us to stay during our recent vacation to Italy in April. It's a family run business, and is very welcoming. We picked up our car on our way our of Firenze and Il Pornelleto was an easy drive straight down Autostrade A1. The farm is close enough to the highway to be easily accessed, but is set up on a hill and is very quiet and peaceful; set among vineyards and olive groves. The room we has was very spacious and had a balcony with a view of the rolling hills. We stayed there a week and used it as our home base to visit the many hill towns in the area. Montelpuciano is only a half hour away along the beautiful country roads. It's also very close to Chiusi which has a train station on the main line between Roma and Firenze. While you're there don't pass up dinner at the restaurant on site run by Cici. She is an amazing cook. We were lucky enough to be there on Easter and share in the 5 course meal she prepared. What a feast! Thanks to Angelletta, Jackie and Cici (and Birillo the dalmation) for making our stay very memorable. P.S. They are new to Venere.com, but have been in business for quite a while. Don't let the lack of reviews scare you. We took a chance and it was well worth it!

What a beautiful location and such a welcome by the owner and the staff. It was extremely quiet but plenty to do for the children- swimming, table tennis, bowls, walking, playing in the surrounding land. We walked to breakfast each morning through the trees and the breakfast was delicious. It was close to many towns and cities such as Arezzo, Cetona, Montepulciano, Pienza. We would definitely stay here again.
