We rented a room but got an "appartment" with a kitchen. Maybe because of the not so good weather the app. was very chilly. Luckily the bed was warm. Normally the lady of the house cooks but not when we were there since there was a group which brought their own cook. The welcoming was strange. They let us stand in the rain. The lady was friendly but her husband didn't even say hello. We had to pay cash and the day before we left he already came to collect his money.

my overall experience was excellent with this farm stay. the room was quite large with its own kitchen... and 2 separate rooms. we were placed in a separate cottage away from the main house. the place was clean and the farm was in a great location if you want away from everything. my only complaint was actually getting to the farm because of the poor directions. the wrong map is posted on venere, the farm is located east of certaldo while veneres map has it located west of certaldo. if you are using gps, the address you put in for the hotel acually comes to another farm near san gimangino. You need to input bacio as the street and the correct location will come up. also the phone number you call is actually a phone in the hallway of the main house... the owners do not stay in the main house, they are often outside... we were lucky to have a guest give us directions. I highly reccomend having the authentic tuscan dinner 5 courses. they also have excellent olive oil. only book this hotel if you have a car... otherwise you will not be able to get around tuscany.

Wonderful people, wonderful location, great stay. Finding it was really hard though! But worth it in the end! Better if you speak Italian or enjoy the journey of achieving mutual understanding without any shared known words! Plus, we turned up late without any provisions and they made us a fantastic breakfast. Local pizza place at the bottom of the hill also great!
