We enjoyed our stay at Fattoria di Corsignano. Unfortunately, we arrived during a heavy rainstorm. With sheets of rain coming down, Mario escorted us with umbrella to our room. The room was very nice, though farm-simple -- don't expect super-deluxe accommodations. My only complaint was that the towels were somewhat thin - it would have been nice to have a little thicker towels. The breakfast was very nice; fresh fruit, meat and cheese, yogurt, cereals, baked goods and coffee / tea. The pool looked lovely, but unfortunately it was a little rainy and a bit too cool so we didn't get to go swimming. Overall, a very nice visit at a Tuscan farm.

The place is very nice, but the room was a little disappointing. It was a little bit "spartan", but worst of all was an unpleasant smell of dampness. I suppose it had been empty and closed for a long time and it needed some ventilation. Any way, surroundings were very nice, breakfast was good and the propietors were very kind.

We had a great time there. Is a farm hotel with kitchen, living room, room and bathroom. The place was very well treat, with great furnitures, with good taste. We slept in the middle of the wine yard and olives trees. Was beautiful. We recomend !

Mario and his family are very inviting lovely people. The tour of his winery was special and we could not leave without taking some wine home. Do not leave without visiting the restaurant that is located on the property as well. When in Tuscany, you must try and stay at Fattoria di Corsignano. It is close to everything as well.

Elena and Mario are perfect hosts! The wine tasting was fabulous and the Chainti that they make is fabulous! The winery and the 300 year old farmhouses are decorated perfectly (rustic tables and beds) and the bathroom is HUGE and immaculately clean. Add the beautiful countryside, the proximaty to Sienna and the surrounding villages and this place is heaven. Bravo Mario and Elena! You are very lucky people. (did i mention the breakfast was delicious?)

Tenuta di Corsignano is much easier to reach from Siena than from Castelnuovo Berardenga! Reception hours only 3-7 pm. Emergency service available after phone call. Very nice and helpful hosts, excellent Chianti Classico! Recommendable small restaurant within walking distance to the appartments.

Room Details

The farmhome features apartments and suites which have recently undergone a full restoration, preserving the real Tuscan style, with terracotta floors, wooden beams and stone walls. All of them have a different characteristic and are customized with mementos and antique furniture such as blanket chests, china cabinets, pots and laces.

Each apartment and each suite has its own entrance, a garden perfectly equipped and parking lots, as well as a wonderful view over Siena or the valley.

All of the apartments feature one or two bedrooms a fully equipped kitchen or a cooking corner, a living room with TV and a bathroom with shower or bathtub. The apartments are provided with bed linen, bath towels, final cleaning, electricity, gas, water, access to the swimming pool, parking and taxes (included). Upon request, the apartments also feature heating, breakfast buffet, baby cribs, additional beds, daily cleaning, change of bed linens and beach towels (subject to charges).

Suites feature a living room with TV, double bed, fan, wireless Internet access, bathroom with shower. The suites are provided with daily buffet breakfast, daily cleaning service, daily change of bed linens and towels. Upon request, the suites also feature heating, baby cribs and additional bed.

From the North by the highway A1: take the exit Firenze-Certosa and drive in the direction of Siena. Exit at Siena Nord and turn left in the direction of Castellina in Chianti. After around 5 minutes turn right onto Corsigliano-Vagliagli and once in Corsigliano you will see on the left a dirt road with the sign Fattoria di Corsignano.
From the South by the highway A1: take the exit Valdichiana and follow the signs to Siena-Firenze. Exit at Siena Nord, turn left in the direction of Castellina in Chianti. After 5 minutes turn right towards Corsigliano-Vagliagli and once in Corsigliano you will see on the left a dirt road with the sign Fattoria di Corsignano.
